Brilliant stay
Just back home from a brilliant stay at the Cavalieri! We were moved there after our original hotel closed due to the current situation. I am so pleased it happened, what a wonderful time we had. The hotel is situated right on the waters edge and overlooks Spinola Bay. The view from our balcony was wonderful. There is a lot of building work surrounding the hotel, but there is also building work going on all over the island. The hotel itself is undergoing major improvements meaning some floors were closed during this work although this work is kept well hidden from guests. The jewel in the crown of the Cavalieri though is the staff! I could list names, but then this review would turn into a book! All the staff are superb, from the lovely lady on reception when we checked in, to the cleaners, all the staff in the bars and restaurants , they all are pleasant, polite and happy to be there for you. One night I made two "observations" to one member of the bar staff, they were in no way complaints, but the very next night, both things had been changed to what i had suggested. It was so good to realise that the staff really were listening to what I had just mentioned to them in passing. Once again, thank you to all the staff for making our holiday such a great time.
Amazing hotel
We arrived at the end of September, for a weeks holiday. The room with view over spinola and Baluta Bay was fantastic. The staff at all levels are polite, welcoming and friendly. Arriving here by accident (transferred here after the hotel we booked closed due to cancellations), we couldn't have been happier, we were more than happy with the hotel amenities and staff . The hotel was a lot quieter than usual( as was most of Malta) due to the covid situation, but all staff were doing their utmost to make sure that the hotel was clean and sanitised regularly and that everyone wore masks and complied with the regulations when moving around. There were plenty of hand sanitising stations around also. To be honest I feel safer here than in UK. I hope the hotel, and Malta recover from the setback that covid has caused very soon, we loved our stay in this hotel. Please pass on our thanks to all the staff, especially the staff in the Baco Noir and the Poolside restaurant
Great location
We arrived early august for 9 nights, quiet but hotel doing their very best due to covid, expect in normal times hotel would be very busy in an August, very hot but plenty of umbrellas,a lot of very nice restaurants just along from the hotel,we were on bed and breakfast and plenty of choice even if had to be served but no problem asking for more tea or coffee
Malcolm Cooper
I arrived the first week in August for a ten day holiday. Then during my first week the good old UK government decided to put 14 day quarantine on people returning from Malta. I think the Maltese are trying hard to recover from this virus pandemic. To be honest I feel safer here than in UK. The room with view over spinola Bay is fantastic. The staff at all levels is so polite. From the room cleaners all staff work non stop making sure sanitizers are full and all areas kept so clean. In breakfast all staff are polite and helpful. And a special mention to Alexandra. Janesa and kristina who are always smiling and helpful even though sometimes they work long shifts. It has been a hard summer for the hotel with virus and isolation rules. I wish the management and there staff a swift return to normality. Malcolm Cooper. Because of the hotel and staff I decided to stay and postpone my return to UK until 1st September. Thank you everyone at cavalierie.
A very good hotel
The room was spacious, comfortable and had a splendid view of Ballutta Bay. The furniture and bathroom require an upgrade. The pool is medium sized but in the afternoon it is overcrowded. This is partly compensated by the proximity of the pool area to the open sea. Unfortunately the approach to the sea is slippery and difficult. A small investment in an aluminium ladder will definitely solve the problem.
