I stayed 3 nights in this excellent hotel situated on the Stavanger university campus. I had a big quiet room with a seating are with two armchairs and a small table in front of the big window and a separate work area with a sizeable desk. I have a thing about showers, in many places I've been, the shower was less than satisfactory. At Ydalir it was just perfect - a thermostatically operated rain shower head that you could adjust to your exact preference. The breakfast buffet was quite lavish, going from bacon and eggs to all Scandinavian delicacies. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, instead they have an iPad at the front desk and they help you order takeaway, which is then delivered straight to your room and charged to your hotel bill. There is also free parking in front of the hotel and a bus stop with frequent buses. It was an enjoyable stay, well worth the price.

From checkin to checkout, staff was there to make our stay as pleasant as possible and this always with a smile! Everything was there, not too much, not too less, just perfect! Thank you so much again!

Nice Hotel situated close to the University. Modern rooms with fantastic beds and nice bathroom. Good parking and short distance to bus-stop. Overall very good service from friendly people and simple but very good breakfast.

Probably the best hotel I stayed at so far. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I was able to have the breakfast I enjoy the most since they had lactose free milk. You can connect your phone or laptop to the TV and stream your favorite shows. Overall it was a very nice stay and if I get the chance to come to Stavanger again I am going to stay here again.

Sabrine puts on a fantastic breakfast buffet with both a great variety and delicious items. She was kind enough to make Nathalie's bacon crispy just the way she likes it after speaking with her the day before, you simply don't get better service at a 6 star hotel (and I have stayed in some of them). Super friendly and accommodating staff, we had to leave early but they opened up earlier to accommodate us. The bed is perfect, a good selection of pillows in various sizes and a real double bed. We really appreciate that it's firmer than usual Norwegian beds. The room is a good size and the bathroom is modern and enough counter space with lots of electrical outlets. The only thing to be aware of is that you need to leave the area to get dinner but public transportation is really close by, affordable and runs often. However our review would not be complete without mentioning Martin Sagen, he helped with all aspects, answered all our questions and gave us great information and suggestions. Honestly the best hotel in Norway and one of the best hotels we have stayed in.
