Great stay - we will be back!

Reviewed 23 november, 2021

Great stay! We hit a snag with check-in and management made it right. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa. It was perfect for our family of five. Weather was unusually warm for late November so we had an opportunity to enjoy the pool and hot tub. Beautiful views from the resort.. Purchase a s’more‘s kit for your family at the front desk and sit on the patio at Saddles and roast marshmallows on the fire. I also love the new liquid soap in the units. Much better than the hotel bar soaps you usually see. For family-friendly dining options, check out the Hypnotic Chicken, Back Door Grill, and Johnny B Goode‘s. Stop by Lyon’s Drugstore with the kids and enjoy a scoop of ice cream for only a dollar. We will definitely be back.

Dirty rooms and Unfriendly staff and manager

Reviewed 21 november, 2021

We booked a week stay for our 21st anniversary. We were pretty excited. I mean, What a beautiful hotel..... on the outside. From the very first night of our 8 day stay it felt less than. Our room view was the top of a parking garage. Ok, fine. But our room was not clean, even by pre-covid standards, and certainly not up to snuff with the pandemic going on. We addressed the cleanliness issue with the front desk and they offered to move us to another room. They sent a bellman up to assist with the move which was appreciated. He asked if the new room was ok and after a quick glance around I said yes and thanked him. But when the lights came on it was the same story. Hair on the bathroom floor and the carpets had remnants of crumbs. At least our view was a bit better- LOL- we were positioned right above the construction crew that were working on the hotel ( and we were awakened every single morning with hammers and drills and all of those fun construction noises ). We said nothing and just sucked it up. We decided to stay in town one more day and so we booked another night here out of sheer convenience. We had to check out of the room that we were in at 11am with a promise that they would have the new room ready as soon as they could so that we didn't have to stare at the walls in the lobby for 5 hours. Two hours into our wait I went to the front desk to ask if they possibly had an ETA for when we could get into a room. They were not helpful, they were downright flippant, they gave me vague answers and pretty much said probably 4pm. Everyone else who had been waiting in the lobby for an early checkin had gone up to their rooms. But they couldn't even give us a GUESTIMATE of when our dirty room would be ready. NOT impressed with this place. At all. My advice is to spend your money at one of the other nice CLEAN & FRIENDLY hotels in the area. I wish we would have stayed at The Bristol Hotel or The Grand....hindsight is 20/20. Maybe this is how customers using points for their stay are treated here at this Sheraton. We did finally get into the 'new room' 5 hours later and I expressed my 'dismay' and received a canned 'sorry'. I asked for the manager to call our room so that we could let him know how unhappy we were and the phone did ring from someone claiming to be the manager but I'm pretty sure it was one of the little clerks from the front desk pretending to be the manager. I have a great ear for voices and this one was identical to the little guy that had been one of the people dealing with this fiasco. I played along and complained about all of the above. They gave me the same ol song and dance about how long it takes to clean and made excuse after excuse then offered us a free bottle of wine. No thanks. I would just like to reiterate that if you want a CLEAN hotel, look elsewhere. They boast that they have such great cleaning protocol during this covid era but even this new room that we finally got into 5 hours later had the previous tenants food left in the fridge! I mean ...... REALLY?

Watch your own kids!

Please post a sign at the second floor hot tubs “guests under 18 need to have an adult present with them”. I should not have to parent 10 pre-teen boys jumping in the hot tubs on my romantic get-away!! Please notify the staff about Daylight Savings time change. The cleaning folks were hustling us out at 8:45 & 9:00 saying it was time to leave!!

Extremely clean and good location

Great for my family’s needs as we got a 3-bedroom villa complete with a kitchen, a dining area and a living room; perfect for everybody to spread out. Extremely clean. Great location. Overlooks ski lift, close to town, good walkability, close to trails, hot springs, and nature. We even saw a mama moose and her baby grazing on the plants right in front of the lobby❤️

By far the best hospitality I have experienced at a SPG property in years. The front desk staff, especially Ann, was amazing. So helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Justin, in security was amazing. He located a lost item and delivered it to our room. We cannot wait to go back . Scott&Chelsea
