Need a charge - plan ahead
The property was clean, the beds comfy and the staff accommodating. Be aware - single queen rooms DO NOT have a mini-fridge as indicating by reservations call center. Also consider - the single queen rooms do not have enough accessible wall outlets for charging devices.
Celebration
Everything was absolutely wonderful!!!! Staff went above & beyond for my family!!!!! Would definitely recommend others to book and stay at this location..staff was very nice and respectable!!! Great guest services from all the staff!!
Avoid at all costs!
Upon entering, I was greeted by...nothing. Nobody was there while I waited 5 minutes for the night Manager, who was incredibly rude. The room had no mini fridge, and we were traveling with a baby (who gets milk before bed), so that was super. There were no towels in the room, so my wife went to the front desk to meet Ms. Attitude, where she was shooed away after giving her two towels and a wash cloth for 4 people. The AC in the room was on its last leg, and had to be set to minimum in order to keep the room somewhat livable. All in all, this was the worst hotel experience I've had in 22 years of adulting.
Poorly managed
I made reservations for the weekend over a month ago. Showed up and they had no rooms (could still see my reservation just no room available). Needless to say I was livid. The poor kid behind the counter was apologetic but frustrated. I knew it wasn’t his fault. I asked for the manager, Sarah— she wasn’t on property. This really irritated me because this kid hadn’t been on the job two weeks. What kind of manager leaves an inexperienced employee alone on a weekend? There were other customers who found their rooms hadn’t been cleaned, keys weren’t working. It was a nightmare. Took about 45 minutes from arrival to get us into a room. It was so loud during the night we didn’t get much sleep. I’m so very disappointed in the establishment and hope they make it right as well as train the staff better, especially the manager.
Okay to Oh No
The Okay We checked into room 101 no problem, they had all my info from booking site. Not the most friendly but job done. Kind of a pain that our room was at the end of hall but all outside doors but front were not in use. Also my card kept getting deactivated. Front desk clerk on Saturday finall explained I could not put it in the same pocket as my phone. Our room was clean and neat. Not uber clean but acceptable. Room cooled down well while we were out to dinner. Bed was firm but not too bad. Pillows too squishy and only 3. Who gets that third one? We didn't attempt breakfast as sign on door daid it was very minimal due to covid restrictions. Pool was open but we didn't go out. Now the Oh NO. My cousin came up Saturday from OKC. He was on third floor forgot room. Check on no problem, but not friendly again. Then all heck breaks loose, he checks his room and there is trash on the floor. Goes down to get another room ... I don't blame him in this age of "deep cleaning" due to covid. Front desk went from unfriendly to snooty. He was told no other rooms. Understandable but her tone wasn't. This set him off as we had been outside and he just wanted a shower and nap before dinner. So he was like just have housekeeping clean it. Argument ensued, basically I guess my cousin was being unreasonable in her opinion. She finally agreed ... I thought some of her issue was just due to housekeeping being offsite. We travel a good bit and if that is the case any issues fall on front desk. Turns out housekeeping was on sight. She turns up in the room and was none too happy my cousin watched her do everything. This whole ordeal took about an hour and half. Completely unnecessary. Now I know some reading say oh it low rent Microtel. Yes they are budget but they are in the Wyndam group and there are standards all their hotels have to adhere to. Their staff was rude and handled the situation poorly.
