More about the hotel
Nice hotel in a not so great area
The hotel was located in an area that was no so great. However the hotel itself was very clean. Our biggest issue was the smell of marijuana everywhere throughout the hotel. We were extremely disappointed in that. It was supposed to be a non-smoking hotel.
Nice stay but no breakfast
Overall our stay was good but when we went down to get breakfast on our first morning there, we were disappointed to find out that they no longer offer breakfast! This was a shock to us since it currently still says they do on the website, at various places in the room and on the sign outside the breakfast room. We had arrived late the night before and were not told about this until the next morning so I had to make a quick trip to a local grocery store to get some food for us to last us for the 5 nights we would be staying. Had we known there was no breakfast, we would not have stayed here. Maybe that's why it still says it on the website. :(
Great rooms
Clean and big rooms, friendly staff, great location, newly remodeled. Easy to find restaurants and shopping close by. Staff was great and took care of you extremely well. Very nice hotel would stay there again
Dim and Don't Care
The location says the rooms are newly done, but it doesn't seem so. The light in the bathroom was so dim it made shaving almost impossible. The Internet worked well with my laptop but not with my iPhone. One desk person was friendly and helpful but the rest of them were "couldn't care if you lived or died".
Just a quick overnight stay.
We stopped here to sleep while traveling north. We booked the room ahead of time so we would know where we were stopping for the night. The parking lot was fine. It seemed clean and safe enough. There was construction going on so there were construction workers and some equipment near the entrance. We checked in and the front desk clerk was very nice. (The one in the morning for check-out was very nice too!) Our room was on the 1st floor, not far from the lobby. It was a decent room and seemed clean. There was no carpet which I though was kind of odd but helped it feel a little cleaner. The bathroom had some updated features but there was a cigarette burn in the toilet seat and the tub had some mildew spots around the seal and some damage to the wall around it. We kept smelling smoke really strong by the front door and couldn't tell if it was coming from a room next to us or above. There are signs warning about fees for smoking all around the room and property so this must be a common problem. I looked out our window and was really surprised to see so much garbage strewn around the property. It's not too large of a strip of land between the hotel and a fence so it wouldn't take much effort to keep it cleaned up. The people above us were either working out or letting a child run the length of the room back and forth until after 11:30 and then again in the morning starting around 6. It was incredibly annoying and loud. That's not really the hotel's fault but it didn't help with our opinion of the stay. I guess I might recommend this place for a quick stop but definitely not a longer stay. It's very close to the interstate and there are lots of restaurants nearby.
