De lo peor y con chinches
Mi visita a este lugar fue xq llevamos q mi hijo a la universidad....... De vista no está mal, tienen decoración bonita pero es un asco de hotel... cuando entramos por las escaleras olía a mariguana y sudor, las camas parecían q solo les habían dado un estirón y ya xq no las cambiaron y lo peor e que tiene chinches!!! Yo reserve dos noches y solo me devolvieron lo de una me quisieron cambiar de cuarto pero el otro estaba peor vomitado y lleno de cerveza .... la verdad q no recomiendo para nada ese hotel!!
Business Trip
Stayed at Super 8 Storm Lake for 2 nights on business. I caveat my 5-star review by saying that that is solely based on the fact that as soon as I drove up to the hotel, I immediately noted that they had one spot (next to the handicap spot) that was designated as "Veteran Parking, Reserved Because You Served." I had never seen that in all my travels at hotels, so I truly appreciated the recognition and acknowledgment that this hotel gave to those who served. On a more serious note and in reality, I probably would have given this hotel a 3-4 out of 5. I also caveat that by stating that for some odd reason, my agency booked a "smoking" room when I am a lifelong nonsmoker, so have no idea how that happened. The desk clerk apparently was new and did not verify the room designation upon checkin, and I would not have even know to ask because I didn't even know smoking rooms existed! The following day I did report the smell in the room, to which the clerk offered to move me to a non-smoking room, however, I did decline since I only had one more evening to stay and did not want to be inconvenienced by moving. Housekeeping did come in the room to spray air fresher, which did help a bit in reducing the smoke smell. Minus the smoke smell, the room was adequate and had a microwave, frig, and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable and shower adequate. Breakfast in the morning was "okay." Offered was waffles, coffee, milk, cereal, oatmeal, Otis Spunkmeyer Danishes (yum), pre-packaged fruit cups, yogurt, biscuits with eggs/sausage (the first morning) and biscuits with gravy (the second morning). Apple/orange juice was out in the lobby by the main desk, which was odd. I would have liked a bit of fresh fruit offered, but there was none. The hotel is located directly across from a Walgreens Drug Store, so easy to get something in a pinch if you've forgotten something. There is a Fareway Grocery store a few yards away as well and gas stations surrounding the hotel. The lake was a half mile walk from the hotel and easy to get to via foot or a drive. Buena Vista College was about a half mile walk away as well. Staff was courteous and respectful. Would stay here again, albeit in a non-smoking room!
HORRIBLE!!!!
This experience at this hotel was horrible! Expect to be woken up at 2PM to a random person knocking on your door or every time someone walks out of there room because the doors slam shut because they don’t have springs. Also expect to be woken up every time uses the shower because the pressure of the water makes a buzzing sound. I’ve had some people down the at the end of the other side of the hall blaring there music until 10:30 pm waking me up. small parking lot. No elevator and no luggage carts. The air conditioner/heater unit seemed to not be working properly. Good luck finding an employee at the front desk or even answer the phone. The breakfast was decent. Only thing nice about this place was they left the light on!

Clean room, comfortable bed served our purposes. Priced a little high for an Super 8 but they can; because it’s the only decent option in town. Bathroom dated and facility a little run down. Breakfast options were limited. Appreciated 24 coffee.
Comfortable bed!
We stayed in a king bed room (non-smoking) and my husband knew immediately upon sitting on the bed that he would sleep really well in it! We both slept good - although pillows too fluffy for my taste (I like pillows super flat so a rolled up towel works in a pinch). Everything else about our stay was really good - bed was exceptional.
