I love this inn and everything about it. The folks who work here are fantastic; the food is great; and our room was impeccable. We stayed in a great little and well-priced room that had every amenity and looked like it had been finished a week before. Breakfasts were awesome and the Whip—the Inn’s public restaurant—was as busy as the food was delicious. Treat yourself!
Wonderful Inn, the Best in Stowe!

We stayed two nights at the Green Mountain Inn, and had a most wonderful experience. The Inn is cozy, clean, and comfortable, and is located on Stowe's Main Street, which makes it easy to shop Stowe's boutiques. There is plenty of parking, and the rooms are fashionably updated with Keurig coffee makers for wake-up coffee. Cozy sitting areas throughout the Inn make it easy for travelling friends to gather and discuss their plans for the day. The Whip Bar and Grill is located in the Inn, which is a great place for dinner, and a delicious breakfast is served in the breakfast room by the lobby. To top it off, the employees at the front desk are exceptionally helpful and welcoming, which made us feel at home. A great place to stay--Highly recommended!
Wonderful cozy Inn!

There s not one negative thing I can write about this Inn. It is in town, with easy parking and you can walk everyplace. We got a room with a gas fireplace that was huge and just as cozy and lovely as can be. There was a big jacuzzi tub (we didn't use) and a phone booth sized shower, which could be a bit tiny for some folks. The room was quiet and I just wish we lived closer to Vermont, so we could visit more often. The customer service was outstanding. We had an early afternoon funeral in a nearby town and wanted to get in before the normal check in to freshen up, and they were very gracious, letting us in. The breakfast restaurant is super nice and the Whip, the restaurant for dinner was very very wonderful. The Inn requires all guests to be fully vaccinated at this time. One other note, after we left, I looked at the brochure and the place is a lot larger than I had realized. There are all sorts of accommodations, but we stayed in the main Inn. Our room was down a very very long and convoluted hall. If you have mobility issues, let them know when you book so you don't have to walk so far. I also discovered there is a year round heated pool and all sorts of fun stuff.. since we were not really on a vacation, we didn't have time to explore all that.

This place is so cute! The bed and breakfast feel in a hotel setting. There is a common room with board games set out for use. Ample sitting area, including the parlor that has a view of the main street. The staff is so helpful and urge you to call 0 for the front desk with any request you have. They explain everything thoroughly at check-in, including the breakfast options, tea time (!) at 4pm, spa amenities, and other activities. Elevator is small (like, enough for 2 people with luggages or 1 small family), but it's only 2 short flight of stairs to the rooms. And the hallways are small, about half the size of an average hotel hallway. You can tell this is an older building with the creaks the floor makes when you walk around. There are tons of sitting areas, even at the entryway of the 2nd floor, where the rooms are. Rooms are equipped with a refrigerator and coat hooks, which I never knew I wanted in a room until now. Bathroom comes with full-sized multi-use lotion, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Also, a towel specifically marked for makeup. TV has cable channels. Can't beat the location. Surrounding the inn are various shops and down the intersecting road are a number of restaurants no more than a 10 min walk away. There is a gorgeous little river just across the street. Would definitely stay again.
No more ghost room

We stayed at GMI October 18-21st. Tommy front desk agent. We asked about the Ghost Room and I stated I did not want the ghost room. He did not tell us about the 10% discount in stores and he put us in the ghost room and did not tell us. Maybe he thought he was funny. Thank God for Rye she told us we were in the Ghost Room and moved us. Tommy needs to find a new job.
