Had an excellent stay. Very friendly staff. Great atmosphere in evening in pub and excellent food. Had to leave before breakfast but they made a lovely packed lunch for us to take with us instead. Would definitely stay again.

A good try but probably wouldn't go again

Nice people, but food wasn't the best, perhaps do something about the chips? Also maybe try and put some different music on? The dessert was OK. There were some lovely walks and we hardly saw a soul so a nice escape!

A wonderful three days. Great food, great location and bedroom

Spent three days here. Very good location to see South Norfolk, Norwich and Suffolk. Lovely old pub, bedroom 1 had a huge bed and a shower room. Food was superb. See photos. Friendly staff. Would thoroughly recommend the place.

Excellent food and service

The Sir Alfred Munnings is our local village pub which we visit often both for a friendly drink at the bar and to eat in the restaurant. The menu is regularly updated and the food is excellent, as is the service and there is a broad selection of beers, wi es and spirits.

A143 Diss to Gt Yarmouth, turn off to MENDHAM xxxxx

Called in today for a lunch and we were not disappointed, Friendly host and excellent food at sensible prices. If you are travelling along the A143 from Diss in an easterly direction then turn right on to the Mendham road at the Harleston Bypass, travel less than a mile and enjoy one of the best meals you will ever get from a village hostelry
