Lovely room and warm hospitality
We were upgraded to the Minsmere (family room), huge room to sleep 4 with lots of space, also had an enormous sofa unit, TV and table and chairs. There was a good and interesting range of teas available. The bathroom was also spacious and the room very comfortable. We loved the open feeling of the high rafters and the low windows, it was warm and cosy despite the winds of the storm Ciara. We didn’t take advantage of the shared lounge or honesty bar, though it was nice to see the collection of books, games and DVDs. We did borrow a couple of dvds and watched them on the large TV in our room from the comfort of the huge sofa. There was a warm welcome from Alan and Katie, breakfast at one, large shared table was delicious and it was good to have the opportunity to ask about the local area and places to eat / visit. We did need to go out in the car for supper, but there were some lovely places not too far away.
Relaxing 2night stay
The stables is set in Henham Park which is quiet and no traffic noise. We were given a family room which was huge with a large sofa which was better sitting on a bed to relax in the evening The patrons are friendly and welcoming and informative about the area they just just put us at ease. The breakfast was great fresh fruit cereals porridge a choice of cooked breakfasts. We found the stay were enjoyable and enjoyed this quirky place it's quite rustic but that adds to its charm. I would recommend it.
Perfect Stay
I booked a nights stay at The Stables for my birthday. My husband and I had such a relaxing time. The scenery is wonderful and so peaceful. Katie was an excellent hostess (we unfortunately didnt meet Alan). We had a heavenly filling breakfast. Our room was wonderful and spacious- we really couldnt have asked for more. Thank you Katie
Remote and relaxing
Room is so large you can do 1000 steps a day just moving around it. No seriously beautiful setting, lots of local walks and lovely pubs to eat at. Owners very attentive and breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.
Absolutely stunning views
From the comfort of a superb room which has the dimensions of my entire house, with a massive and beautifully equipped bathroom, one can watch retired race horses, deer and sheep, graze happily in the grounds of a lovely estate. Breakfast is very good and The White Hart nearby offers an excellent menu.
