Very Nice
We recently went on vacation and had 6 nights in 5 different hotels, this one was by far the best, (although there wasn’t much competition). The front desk clerk was nice from the moment we walked in. She answered our questions and gave us directions of where to find where we wanted to eat. The room was clean, smelled nice, and had the smoothest sheets. This place really set our standards for all the other hotels we stayed in especially since they were all for about the same price. The breakfast they offered in the morning was perfect, everything was comfortable from start to finish.
Great Hotel
We stayed here for three nights. I was impressed with the care that is taken with this hotel. It was very clean. Due to covid the room was not cleaned every night which was fine with us. If we needed anything they supplied it. One night we had high winds and the manager took care by informing guests of the situation and recommend we leave by the side doors with signs in the lobby. There was a hockey team of young boys staying there and they were not as noisy as I expected they would be. Good parents! Breakfast staff in the morning was friendly and catered to any request. The woman who checked us in on Friday was friendly, too.
Dirty and understaffed
More interested in filling hotel than making it a quality experience. Housekeeping cannot keep up. Hotel common areas were disgusting! To be clear, I blame management for over booking and understaffing. The housekeepers we’re doing their best to hustle.
Weekend stay
The room was clean and fresh with 2 queen beds but only only one chair? There were 3 of us so 2 had to sit on the bed, very uncomfortable. Like most hotels, the bed is covered with a top and bottom sheet and a heavy comforter/bed spread. The problem is it's too hot using the comforter and too cold with just a sheet. Why not supply a light blanket for each bed like most hotels did in the past?
Best Late Check In EVER!
Sadly I need to travel to Wisconsin for a funeral of a former shipmate I served with during Desert Storm. I was a late check in and when I arrived my room key was ready and the woman working the front desk said "There's my weary traveler". She had everything ready for me, verified I was indeed who she was waiting for and was just a breath of fresh air. In the morning the staff had the dining area spotless and sanitized. They put together a breakfast platter that they prepared for me and it was delicious. Needless to say it was an emotional weekend, but this experience helped make it so much easier.
