It seems strange to say that a room above a restaurant is peaceful, but it honestly was. We were in Room #3 of the four room hotel. Loved having a separate bedroom even though it was small; just sleeps better. Nice towels, nice small refrigerator, great in room coffee, large sink, microwave. Loved the sitting area! All would have been great, but then you throw in the view of the marina and the marsh....it is excellent. Small balcony could use a couple chairs, but there are dining area chairs you can pull out. I gave this a five out of five as: it is absolutely true to the pictures; it was indeed quiet even on a Saturday; bed was super comfortable; shower has good water pressure, and the view...OH THE VIEW. Worth taking the ferry from Jamestown to have a little oasis.

I sat at the bar and had drinks and dinner there (didn't feel like waiting for an outside table - 30-45 min wait). Scharnelle was absolutely wonderful. She worked harder than anyone I've ever seen behind the bar and was able to support many guests while making sure not to ignore us. I had the Boom Tiki Shrimp and cole slaw, which was so good, I had it twice. My partner had the 1/2 size seafood combo which was perfect size for her and everything was prepared perfectly (temp and taste). We had actually come and left during lunch time because of the wait - took the ferry to Jamestown - and came back for a late afternoon snack/early dinner. We were glad we did!! I highly recommend this place. And again, thank you Scharnelle for the great service.

Family dinner for seven. Service was quick and friendly. Food was fantastic. Very tasty frozen drinks, crab dip, seafood platters, and a spectacular dessert. Definitely recommend. Nice views of the marina and an enjoyable ferry ride to get there and back.

Visited with family on a thursday night...appeared to be busy. Ordered fish & chips, chicken shrimp pasta, & cup of clam chowder. 2 hush puppies arrived at end of meal after asking for them. Fish & chips good. Pasta great. Very small cup chowder good, but not sure if clams were in there. 1 piece potato& 1/2 piece bacon cost $6.95. Overpriced for portion. I expected more for such a nice place . The view was fantastic overlooking the creek & docks. Tea was very good.

We shared the seafood platter. It was excellent. Had room for desert. Chocolate cake and key lime pie, both were delicious! Highly recommend! Will be back on our next visit to VA. The view was very enjoyable from the patio.
