Good overnight stay

Very helpful and friendly staff but few can understand English.rooms comfortable and adequate for an over night stay. Has large scale indoor and outdoor Ryokan baths which are free with the room price. Good Chinese restaurant.

Relaxing Stay
Opinión escrita el 24 de junio de 2016
Booked the smallest single room. The room is nothing special and is just like a typical business hotel. I don't mind as the Onsen (hot spring) and other facilities are nice. The staff is also friendly. A convenience store and the fast food chain MOS Burger is close by.

Ok, nothing great
Opinión escrita el 21 de junio de 2012
Stayed here on a business trip because it was convenient. OK hotel to stay. Did not eat here. Went to the bar at night, nothing exciting. It is very close to a big lake. Did not have a chance to go for walk or run though. Hopefully, will try the run next time.

On business but thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen
Opinión escrita el 2 de abril de 2012
Visted the Suwa area for business last month and had a room at this hotel reserved for me. Was picked up at the train station (direct service from Shinjuku Station/Tokyo) by my business contacts but understand that the hotel will pick you up for the 5 minute drive to the hotel. The big attraction here is the Onsen - the thermal bath. Had never experienced the Japanese bath before, but took notes on the protocol on line and was ready to enjoy. Woke up early the morning I stayed and, using the washcloth, bathrobe and slippers provided in the room to visited the onsen. Quite a treat - had the place all to my self and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It's worthwhile to go online prior to get an idea of how things are done. My room overlooked Lake Suwa, which is quite beautiful, surrounded by mountains. The hotel is located on a main road, so there is some noise from traffic. There is a Chinese restaurant, which is quite good and fairly priced. Breakfast is served on an upper floor and is expansive and very good -- Japanese and Western breakfast items.

Decent place for Onsen
Opinión escrita el 3 de octubre de 2010
I traveled here for a week long conference and have some experience traveling in other parts of Japan. The reason to come here is the Onsen. There are 5 types of men's baths (two outdoors, one with a view the other with sake in the water). Room was ok, smaller, but it did have a view of Lake Suwa and surrounding mountains. Staff speaks limited english. Breakfast was good including several regional specialties. For many Japanese travelers, the Onsen make the trip worthwhile. A foreigner might be happy to just dip your feet in the Onsen at the train station. Other sights in the area are a gyser and two shrines and a pachinko parlor within walking distance.
