great location
we stayed here 2 nights. we stayed on the 3rd floor. we had a lovely balcony where we sat at the end of the day. the location is perfect. we walked every where. the room was large. very clean. breakfast was very good. the staff was very kind and gave us tips on where to eat. to park your car the best thing is to use the parking service.
Location location
Clean, friendly staff but have to climb stairs with one’s luggage. Rooms ample but shower small and designed with no place to put soap or shampoo while showering. Breakfast including local sweets nice start for the day. Easy walk to anything in Ortigia. Greco roman ruins off Ortigia take longer to reach.
Great Location
Selected this hotel on the basis of reviews and lovely photos. This hotel has an excellent location to visit Ortigia. There are lots of restaurants nearby as well as a small grocery store. It is a short walk to all the major attractions on Ortigia. We were very concerned about parking, but parking can be reserved close by at a private parking garage for 15 Euro per day. The hotel will give you the number. It would be helpful to be able to say what day you are reserving in Italian, as the person answering the phone did not seem to understand English. We reserved the day before our arrival without a problem (there was a festival in Ortigia that weekend, so I was concerned.) The pictures of the rooms are so pretty, but we were given a disappointing room that was dark and looked out to the buiding next door with a view of an old pinball machine. We asked to move and the ladies at the front desk were very accomodating. Our second room was much better, but to get to it, we went past trash cans into a courtyard that had neighbors' laundry hanging on racks and out windows. Despite this, our room was lovely. Nice furnishings and a lovely bath. The breakfast was limited. The desk was always very helpful and kind with any of our questions or needs. I would recommend finding out prior to booking what kind of room you will be reserving if you are choosing this hotel for the aesthetics.
Cramped rooms but helpful staff
The rooms are cramped/small and cluttered with furniture you dont use. There is no elevator. Only one plug in the room worked so I could only charge one item. The staff are helpful which is the saving grace. It's a cold breakfast with limited options.
Best Service Wonderful Staff
We did not stay at the hotel, and the staff was so helpfull. They allowed us to store our bags there Even though we stayed next door. So friendly and great coffee! Also great food! The best service we have ever had
