Large hotel
Did stay for 2 nights for business. Hotel is pretty big and located in old monastery/brewery. Read some reviews that it could use some upgrade, but my room was perfect and think it must have been renovated since the reviews were placed, but no very modern. They also have a wellness center. It is fun to try the beer spa. Breakfast is served in a large meeting room, so no great atmosphere, but enough choice and good quality.
Looks Nice But Ordinary
Lovely looking big room, but, the bathroom floor was sopping wet due to a useless shower curtain. The “Air conditioner” leaves me speechless....absolutely useless and only blowing warm air despite being set to minimum. The room had a fan which only helped move hot air around...A bit disappointing. The curtains don’t shut properly. Looks nice and fancy but really not much chop. We had dinner at “the cave” on site. I will review this separately.
A QUALITY HOTEL IN AN EXCELLENT VISITOR LOCATION
A large 4* hotel in a converted brewery conveniently placed a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town and with ample parking. Our Superior double room was spacious and had a mezzanine sitting area in the high-ceilinged room and giving views through one of the original small oriel windows. There was a large bathroom. Everything was in working order and maintained in a clean condition. You have to pay to use the small basement swimming pool. The pleasant cellar restaurant serves quality meals. Staff are helpful and friendly and speak a good standard of English.
Decent large hotel conference centre, too many parked cars
Good location for nearby town centre although cars parked outside spoil the entrance. A fairly standard large hotel, room fine, breakfast fine, spacious enough, staff helpful although now I come to think of it when we went to desk to check out there were 3 staff behind the desk. 2 were dealing with 1 other guest who was checking out, and the other staff member who looked more senior was just standing about. None of them acknowledged I was there waiting, I was completely ignored - maybe I had turned invisible without realising it. Eventually I had to ask nicely if I could check out. Really strange idea of service.
Spacious room, delicious breakfast
I had a spacious, clean room with mezonet sitting and huge bathroom. Breakfast were rich and delicious. Bufet lunch and dinner was ok, let's say higher average. Wifi could be stronger. I didn't use the small swimming pool, either sauna. Problem with air condition in the conference room in the floor where restaurant is (horribly hot, no air). Good location, a few meters from the main historical squere.
