Big hotel at Takayama

This is the biggest international hotel (three buildings) in Takayama. It is only around 5-10 mins walking from the Takayama station. The room is average but there do have interesting onsens - one at the top floor (indoor and outdoor) and one at the basement at two different buildings, so is quite fun to move around to find and enjoy them. The room is average but is clean with full amenities though. The dinner and breakfast I have is average for Japanese standard, but the waiters are the one who make the overall experience great.

It's well located and easy walking distance from train, to restaurants and many local attractions. Buffet breakfast offered mix of western and tradational. Not a luxurious hotel but very pleasant. nice views from onsen on roof. We would return.

Great Hotel in the Center of Hida Takayama

Stayed at this hotel from Dec. 26th to Dec. 28th (booked an all incl. package tour) for two nights (two rooms with breakfast and dinner incl.) Breakfast offered a wide choice between Western as well as Japanese and Chinese cuisine. For both dinners we were offered a private room for the 5 of us ( 4 adults and 1 child) and food (traditional delicious Japanese food from the Hida area). For the 6 years old boy a special dinner was offered (small additional amount was charged). The ladies that served the food were very attentive and professional. We enjoyed the stay and can highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel and lovely attentive people. We were personally shown to our suite and everything explained. The whole place was immaculate and well equipped. Didn’t try the restaurants as we prefer to eat locally. Superb location by the station and all sights. Highly recommended.

Just spent two nights at this fine hotel in Takayama. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk to the train station and easily accessible to the old city, the Float Museum and walking trails in the mountains. The hotel offers both Western style (regular beds) and Japanese Style (Futons on Tatamis) rooms. My Japanese style room was very big, clean, comfortable and relaxing. TV and modern bathroom. Talking about relaxing, try the hot baths on the 9th floor, a pleasure. Buffet breakfast had good and varied selection. Staff were attentive but English is not their expertise.
