RUDE AND GROSS ROOMS

The customer service is non existent and the rooms are filthy. You can not reach anyone for help from the front office. DO NOT stay in this roach infested rat trap. We had bed begs and the hotel staff would not change our room. The manager was a complete tool and had no respect for anyone but himself. Do not walk but RUN from this living nightmare of a hotel. There was a bikers convention the weekend we stayed and they blared loud music until 3:30 am. On top of the bugs and unfriendly staff, our trip was horrendous due to the accommodations we experienced. We eventually decided to check out and find another location to stay at. You want our advice, book somewhere, anywhere else but this cesspit.

Recently stayed at this property and I was very pleased. They have renovated rooms and extremely friendly staff. They made my group feel very welcomed and went above and beyond for all our needs! Hope to stay again in the future.
Terrible and rude “management” Sam gave the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced

So we had a friend book this by accident and call the hotel right away to cancel the reservation. They said we would have to speak to a manager because we booked the hotel at 11:45 pm and cancelled at 12:05 am. Since it was a new day in their system and wouldn’t let us cancel without managerial approval. So when I called the next day to speak to a manager the phone rang with no answer for most the day. When somebody finally picked up I was told there was no manager on duty and to call back tomorrow and speak with Sam and he would take care of it. While not only did SAM not take care of it, he charged us for the room and was so extremely rude and said we him never cancelled however we were a no show and fully charged . Stay away from this hotel for poor management if there’s even any there, and just plain RUDE STAFF.
Stay somewhere else!

I travel frequently for work and this was by far the WORST hotel experience I have ever had in my life while staying at the Courtyard Brandon Tampa. Saturday night around 10:15pm I noticed something move under the desk. It was late and pretty dark so I was only able to see a shadow. I turned on the flashlight on my phone to get a better look and saw a huge roach on the carpet that lines the bottom of the wall. At this point I went to call the front desk and the phone in the room was not working. Once the phone gets picked up and pulls on the cord it just disconnects. I then called the front desk from my cell phone, no one picked up. I packed up everything in my room and headed to the front desk to get out of my room. I told the lady at the front desk and showed her the picture. She said I would have to talk to the manager who is across the parking lot at the Fairfield Inn. She said to go over there and ask for Jane. I went across the parking lot and spoke to Jane, that’s when this bad situation turned into a nightmare. Jane said everything in the area was booked and that there is nothing she can do to get me a room somewhere else close by. She offered to call other hotels in Tampa that were north of $200-$300 a night, I asked her if she would provide a voucher to cover the difference as my rate was around $120 a night. She said that is not something they do and that I had a special long term stay rate. I told her I understand, however, if this hotel was not infested with roaches I would still be getting the same rate, its not fair that because of their roach problem I now have to eat the cost of staying at a different hotel. She offered to kill the roach and have me go back to the room. I explained to her that I am not sleeping in that room. If there is one giant roach I am sure there are more and I don’t want to bring them home with me. I communicated to Jane that this is not acceptable and there must be someone else I can speak to. Jane reached out to her manager and had me wait while she received a response. She was told that there were hotels in the area that would directly bill her hotel for my room. Upon her calling, the person she spoke to said they are not set up to direct bill their hotel. She told me she thought that employee was wrong and would speak to their manager in the morning. Again, that does not help me tonight. Jane offered again to kill the roach a second time now. I told Jane once again I am not sleeping in a room that has roaches, I am not risking keeping my belongings there and potentially bringing roaches home to my family. Jane said I am sorry there is nothing I can do. I asked her just so we can be on the same page. I understood the words that were coming out of her mouth, but I couldn’t comprehend how this was her solution. I asked her just to clarify, “so you are telling me I either have to sleep in a room with roaches or I have to find a place to sleep on my own tonight? I just want to be sure I fully understand as I will be sending an email to corporate about this.” She again said yes I am sorry. Its now about 11:15pm, I wasted 45 minutes with Jane for her to tell me there is nothing she can do. I leave the hotel to drive over to the Courtyard Tampa North and speak to the lady at the front desk. For the last two nights of my stay it would cost about an extra $100, at this point I just want a place to go to sleep. The lady tells me she is oversold and there is nothing she can do. I went back and forth with her for about 20 minutes as she still had room’s available online. She said even if I booked it there was nothing she can do and could not provide a room since she didn’t have one. I called the Titanium support number and waited on hold for about 15 minutes. Finally, Megan answers and I explain my situation to her. She said she would put me on hold and call a few hotels in the area to see if any of them could match the price or at least come close to it. After being on hold for several minutes she provided an update and said she had no luck but she would call a few more hotels. She came back and said she didn’t have luck again but online it was showing the hotel that I previously tried (Courtyard Tampa North) showed they had availability. I told her I had already physically gone there and explained that situation. She made a few more calls and was able to find me a room in Lakeland/Plant city but it was $165 a night. I said that’s fine, I just want to get somewhere and get some sleep. She was able to book that for me while I was on the phone with her so I could just start driving over there. I finally arrived and checked in over there just after 2am. In my years of dealing with Marriott customer services/ambassador service, this was the best level of service I had ever received. Megan provided multiple updates and was going to do what ever she needed to make sure I had a room that night. The room was higher than what I was paying but that late in the night I just settled on it. What makes this worse is this is the brand I committed to early when I started to travel for work. As a lifetime titanium member, I would have never envisioned my two choices on a Saturday night at 11:15pm to be either sleep in a roach infested room, or figure it out on my own. Very disappointed with this hotel and I would never stay there ever again.

Front desk people were kind and helpful but that is all the positive I can tell you. The carpets were dirty and warn. Even the carpet on the luggage cart we’re worn and dirty. The room was smelly and carpets were dirty and stained with wine or blood. We asked for a balcony but that too was dirty and the view looked out on the trash bins.
