Dangerous
We went to Homewood suites because of Hilton's guarantee of safety during the Corona virus crisis. The one thing that we noticed was that more than 75% of the people who were inside the hotel did not have masks on. Management did absolutely nothing to require people entering the hotel to wear masks. My wife's immediate reaction was that she did not wish to stay the night because of the complete lack of concern for safety of the hotel guests. Hilton should be ashamed and the management of this hotel should be even more ashamed.
OUR NEW FAMILY
My husband and I got stuck trying to fly to the U.K. in March. We did not know that we would be staying for 5 months at Homewood Suites Tampa/Brandon. I am beyond grateful to the managers and staff especially Dzenita Brower. This manager goes above and behind her duties to ensure all guest are comfortable and happy. Dzenita remembers every guest name and addresses each guest as they arrive and leave. The first few months of COVID most staff was let go and Dzenita worked herself to the point of exhaustion to keep the hotel clean and presentable to all guests. Her shift ended but she would stay extra hours to help the housekeeping staff. Dzenita would also pick up trash in parking lot and trim all the overgrown trees and bushes. The staff became my family these 5 months and Hilton Homewood Suites of Tampa is a home away from home. Dzenita Brower along with Anna and Maria in housekeeping need a bonus or a big raise. Please Hilton take care of your staff!

I am a Hilton Honors member and frequently stay at Hilton hotels. Homewood is one of my favorites. This location however, was not at all like any Homewood I’ve ever stayed. IT WAS FILTHY! Dirty handprints on the walls, thick layers of dust on the ceiling fan, dirty curtains. With occupancy down(COVID-19) I’m sure it shouldn’t be a problem to keep your hotel nice a clean. If I was the owner I would be concerned that maybe my housekeeping staff wasn’t doing their jobs properly. Dirty diapers in the parking from the night before still there in the morning, GROSS!
Good location
The front desk was super friendly! The hotel was fairly quiet and there was plenty of guest milling around all times of day. Overall, a clean studio suite. Although the shower stall could use a freshen up-a bit dingy and towels seemed old, the bedding looked fairly new. Breakfast was good, but simple. I was confused by the paper products vs having real dishes. The breakfast staff was non-existent and people were busing their own tables. The pool was unusable because of the highway noise. It was audible in the suite but almost like white noise. The fitness room was clean, had disinfectant wipes available along with towels and a water cooler. I would like if they had ice water available next to the coffee throughout the day. Housekeeping didn't reach my site until 330-4pm to make the bed and tidy up. The lighting in the room was great and plenty of outlets available.
