Good for backpackers
If you do not expect too much luxury, it can be good place for you. Just for sleeping (very comfortable bed, linen nice in touch ;) ), taking hot shower (remember to turn on the boiler 10 minutes before shower; otherwise the water will be not cold, but not warm too), use internet (very well-working WiFi in the room) and rest. The quarter have very bad reputation, the area is poor and very neglected, but I think there is nothing to worry about - in my opinion it looks more dangerous than it is, and very quiet in the night. On one hand the location is very bad (if you look for aesthetic and clean surroundings), on the other - very good (close to train and bus station, 20 minutes walking distance to the city center or to Levinsky Market, where you can find very good, local, cheap food). Hint: you'd better take your own towels. The ones available in the room are probably clean, but old and stained. Basic cosmetics (shower gel, shampoo, body lotion) also available.
Very nice place and people
this was really exellen experience to be their guests. The place is tidy and very friendly. Mr Damith was very helpfull and kind to us, gave us tips about Tel Aviv. The place is also cloce to the Bus Station which helps to move in the city
Bed bugs, dirty sheets, unhelpful staff, cold water, no room service at all.
We were here for 11 days. In that amount of time they changed our sheets once. We had to go ask for toilet paper, new towels, and requested sheets and pillow cases 4 times. The staff looked annoyed when we asked. We did everything ourselves. Water is controlled by a water heater you have to turn on yourself and it doesn't work well. On day 3 my girlfriend was covered in bites with bedbugs and I caught a virus. Stay away from this place. Even our taxi drivers didn't want to take us into the bad neighborhood this was in. Our neighbors were physically fighting each other and the walls were paper thin. Just pay extra and get a real hotel.
Terrible, Miserable experience !!!
I went to this residence 26 and the receptionist told me that there is a maintenance problem with my room, but they will give me even better room just 3 minutes from their place. The reception told that place is way better than the Residence 26 so I agree. They send me to Nahalat Yehuda Residence BUT it was not!!! It was very small studio room. So dirty, no internet, no TV. Hair in the linen, mild in the bathroom, dead insects , on the very main road, so noisy ,on the top of that there was cat and rats chasing each other on the corridors . See attached pictures. I went 4 times to the reception desk to ask to fix the internet , the receptionist were chatting and always replying "we fix it."..I said NO you did not fixed come and check. On the forth time one of the receptionist came in my room eating kebab to check and said OK is not working I will check ...after 1 hour I went for 5th and last time to ask him to speak to the manager and he said to me NO No no manager " You make problem to me, no manager " . I was asking for another room, or to give me back the money he refused both. He said he spoke with the manager and the manager said NO, because they gave me an early check at 1:30 PM. This was my discount for the book out and the terribleb room. Great thanks. So who ever is the manager or this properties.Shame of you. You are just taking people's money and you don't care for them .
Definitely looks better on pictures
In real the hotel looks far worse. I couldn't believe when the taxi driver stopped. However the service was nice so that's why I gave 3 stars. I wasn't sure if the bed linens were new. They didn't feel like new.
