More about the hotel
Perfect hotel for us
We stayed here 1 week. Loved our room and the rooftop sundeck with jacuzzis. Also the view was lovely. Breakfast was good (really liked the omelette station). Dinner was ok (it's a buffet not a gourmet restaurant). The SPA was wonderful .
Honeymoon
We went to the Atlantic mirage suites and spa for our honeymoon on 2nd March 2020. Absolutely no complaints from us. The hotel was modern and fresh, clean throughout. Rooms were spacious, cleaned every day. The balcony for us was lovely but was very cold most days so we didn’t spend much time on it. The views from the hotel were fantastic from the rooms and also from the rooftop bar. The pool area and bars were spotlessly clean and staff couldn’t do more for you, when in jacuzzi area you just had to get a barman’s attention and they were over to see what you needed. Food in the vertigo bar was great. Plenty of options for drinks in the bar, more in the vertigo bar than at the pool bar.
Early sunshine holiday
You will not be disappointed in this hotel, adults only. The hotel is upside down as in floor 1 is below ground level and the hotel is built into the side of the cliff overlooking the sea with breathtaking scenery. The rooms are spacious with a mood lighting bathroom with walk in shower, beds comfy. Reception staff very helpful when needed. The main restaurant is very well laid out with a good choice for everyone. The staff are helpful by showing you to your table and taking your drinks order. The blue oceans bar with Jose behind the scenes can remember your drinks from the night before and served them with a nice greeting when he sees you. Not to late to mention the room cleaner who works hard to keep it very prestige every day. Good all round hotel and pool/ bar very good but nothing tops the vertigo bar and snack bar on the rooftop with sunbathing facilities and jacuzzi was a nice touch too. Will go back yes.
OK apart from the food
We stayed here for a week on a Jet2 holiday. We were in room 620 which is one floor below the reception and one above the restaurant, bar etc with a view to the ocean. The room was large and well equipped with double bed, settee, etc as the description. There was one thing different from the description which was there was no air conditioning as it was turned off in the rooms. There was a generous sized shower room. There were a couple of issues, the hair dryer had a dodgey plug so was difficult to use. There was shower gel/shampoo but no tissues or other toiletries and the towels were thin. The room was generally quiet apart from a couple of occasions when we could hear neighbours. It was clearly above the kitchens as each morning we could smell bacon. Staff were friendly efficient and helpful with most having some English. As we were on half board deal we had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. Breakfast was buffet style with a large selection of meats, cereals, breads, pastries and fruit plus a station where you could have eggs cooked to order. Drinks were self service from a machine plus there was Cava to help yourself to. Dinners were served in the same restaurant although you could one dinner in the table service restaurant adjacent to the main one. Dinners were also buffet style with salads, meats, fish, cheese, etc plus a station where they would either a fish or piece of meat plus pizzas. For a meat eater there was plenty of choice but as a vegetarian there was usually one salad, although on one day all had meat or fish, cheese and pizza. There were four pizzas but they were not labelled so I asked the chef which was vegetarian however he could not understand but did get one which was cooking for me. This was a basic cheese and tomato and was bland. The night we were in the table service restaurant it is a 3 course set menu and I was cheered to find they had a vegan choice so had this. The first course was a spring roll with smashed avocado, which was fine. The second course was like felafel again with avocado and was dry and not tasty. The third course was a plate a small wraps. These were dry and bland. When I unwrapped one it had minimal filling so you were basically eating bread. This was a dreadful meal.
A short stay
A very comfortable spacious room overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A stand alone shower stall suited me. It was all spotlessly clean. I had 1/2 board breakfast and dinner included. The food choices were enormous and very tasty. The front desk staff efficient and always helpful. There was parking for my rental car no charge. Unfortunately the perfumed smell in my room from the cleaning was overpowering. I had to keep my patio doors slightly open to help reduce the strong smell. The spa facility for €15 was well worth the several visits. There was lots of walking paths and a small community of shops and restaurants a short walk away.
