GF Fañabé

My wife and I have recently returned from a fantastic 1 week holiday here. We stayed in one of the bungalows on a bed and breakfast deal. The staff were friendly, COVID rules in place were effective and we felt safe in the resort. I would like to praise our housekeeper who was really hard working ( room 700 ) Thank you to all the staff at GF Fanabe see you again soon

We had a fantastic stay here during Christmas 2019. The hotel was clean and tidy and well set out. Hardworking cheerful staff. A lovely effort was made for Christmas from the entertainment provided and the fantastic choice of food, along with the tasteful decorations. A visit from Santa with a gift for each child was a super gesture. The pool was great, although there was a bit of a struggle to get a sunbed in the sunshine as half are in the shade. The hotel is in a great location , easy to walk to nearby bars and restaurants and to the beach. Lovely longer walks to the coast too. We also enjoyed a ride on the land train which stops right outside the hotel. It was a great holiday, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to friends and colleagues.

Stayed at the GF Fanabe for 8 nights All Inclusive 15 - 23rd September right before it closed due to lack of guests because of the coronavirus restrictions. Well what a fabulous hotel. All the staff are so polite and hard working and doing a fantastic job of keeping us safe during this pandemic. I have to go out my way to mention the Animation team of Jens and Kata who were so amazing and friendly and always had a smile behind their mask. Jens in particular went out of his way to spend time with my 11 year old daughter who felt a bit lost due to the lack of english speaking kids staying at the hotel and even taught her how to play pool. A great asset to their team. Food was good. Plenty of choice. My daughter loved the hotdogs and fries at the pool snack bar. We sat at a table and very quickly the bar waiter would come over and take our food/ drinks order and bring it over to us. Same service also at the bar at the front of the hotel with table service and no queuing.Tables were always disinfected after anyone left ready for the next guest to use. Same in the dining hall. Tables cleaned and chairs sprayed to make sure we were safe. Dining hall was self service but there was hand sanitiser to use before you picked up any utensils. There was a great selection of drinks at all the bars and there is a QR code to scan at them all and the menu would be there on your phone which also told you if it was included in your All inclusive. You received a 40% Discount off the price of brand name drinks etc if your staying All Inclusive. The cocktails were nice although they definitely tasted much stronger in the front bar at night lol. Entertainment was quite good some nights. Usually a singer would start at the front at 8.30 till 11.30 but some nights there would be an added act from 9.30 till 10.30 (Robbie Williams tribute, circus act, magic act etc) Sometimes that would be in the pool bar area. The roof terrace was adult only and had the most amazing mountain,resort and sea views. There was also a bar up there as well and felt very relaxing. All in all this was a fantastic hotel and would highly recommend to everyone.

Loved our stay, really impressed for value of money. We had room issues when we arrived which were rectified the next day as we checked in late, moved to better rooms facing the pool. Rooms were spotlessly clean and a good size, fridge in room was a bonus. We were all inclusive and found the drinks included great, the restaurant served different food each day with a live cooking station, different selection of foods salads and fruit. The hotel itself was immaculate, they were always on top of the cleaning which was good to see. We loved the roof terrace (adults only) which was lovely, perfect views of the sea and mountains. The bar up on the terrace was handy and all the loungers were comfy. Finally we could not get over how friendly the staff were, always welcoming and smiling behind masks which was nice to see. I could not recommend this hotel enough, we felt really safe in the current climate and would happily return. Thankyou GF Fanabe to all of your staff!

We are just leaving after a lovely 9 nights at this hotel. We were actually only staying 7 originally but as the time went so quick we decided to book another 2 and different flight. We highly recommend this hotel it is lovely and the staff are doing a great job and very hard working through this pandemic. Special mentions to Adrian who was a brilliant barman I have never known service like it me and my girlfriend said the same and also to Marcos in the restaurant who was always so happy and friendly in the mornings! The food was lovely and being a big foodie it was my main concern before arriving but it was lovely everyday and so much choice! Good entertainment and close to lots of local bars/restaurants. We will definitely come back to this hotel in the future. Thanks for a lovely stay!
