Shampoo and body wash had not been refilled. Dead bug under the sink counter area. AC- you're either freezing or sweating, there is no in between. Breakfast - probably the worst I've had at a Holiday Inn Express. None of the cinnamon rolls that you usually see. Oatmeal - no toppings available unless you count the maple syrup packs there for the pancakes. The sausage and scrambled eggs - completely unappetizing. Ick. None of the indicators that the hotel is sanitizing things like the TV remote.
Be careful if you stay here.

Let me start with the day I showed up I had to call and ask for clean sheets. This should have been a warning but your options are limited in Dayton. While waiting an hour for sheets I had to call the front desk again and she said she forgot. Within a few minutes she was at the door and handed me the sheets and left. This should have been the second warning. Upon getting in the shower I found used wash clothes hanging on the shower curtain rod. I was in town for work and only had a few more hours for sleep so I made my own bed and tried to get some sleep. That was interrupted from what sounded like a jet engine behind the hotel that came on every hour or so and the smell of cigarette smoke that carries through the hotel. Now my stay was for 8 days my work hours were from 6 to 6. I was released from my job a day early so I checked out the next morning and asked for a receipt when I did I was asked to sign another rate form which I questioned at the time I was told that was normal. My receipt clearly shows $763.07 now on my credit card I have an additional charge showing up for $109.01 that is not on my receipt and through an attempt through my credit card company and directly contacting the hotel they refuse to remove the charge. Be very careful if you stay here. If I am ever in the area again I will drive from Chattanooga.
An okay stay

We travel a lot and almost exclusively stay at HIE. The staff was very friendly but the hotel was so-so. Our room smelled musty, the air conditioning was noisy and the cable was super weird. Also, with Covid I felt they were doing the bare minimum. The only breakfast option was cold cereal. That came across as super lazy. We stayed at other HIE where they dish up the hot food upon request or have it in to-go containers ready for guests. They only gave 2 coffee pods and 3 towels to the rooms. Everything just felt like very little effort was being made. To be honest, I wouldn't stay here again
Very clean hotel.

Went to Dayton TN to college shop, at Bryan College, with granddaughter. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Dayton. Very nice hotel!! Enjoyed our quick trip. A free hot/cold breakfast was provided and it was good. When we were there, several construction workers were staying at the hotel. The night we arrived it was raining and continued the next day. I was impressed the hotel provided plastic booties, just beyond the front door, for shoes/boots to keep the mud off the floors.
Another Fine Stay

Stayed here with the wife for 3 nights while visiting daughter. Used IHG reward points so price was perfect! :) Front desk staff, especially Baily, was very friendly. Room clean, water flow great, bed fine - albeit a bit high off the ground for older folks. Breakfast was plentiful and ok. What you would expect. Nice location on outskirts of town coming in on 27. The only drawback is the room AC always seems to blow damp at this hotel - I notice this all over the south in small hotels in the summer. Definitely will stay again. Good place and good people.
