Fabulous Hotel but easy to miss from the freeway
I stayed at this hotel two nights during a recent evacuation from Hurricane Delta. This is an exceptionally high quality, super clean, very modern hotel. According to one of the desk clerks with whom I was conversing, the hotel opened 3 years ago. The hotel is immaculate - the lobby, breakfast area, elevator, hallway, and most importantly the room I stayed in. Little things, like the fact that the two-door closet doors were massive, were impressive. The bathroom featured a walk-in shower instead of a tub shower, which I appreciated. In addition to regular bedside lamps, each side had a small gooseneck lamp made for reading in bed. I stayed in a suite with a king bed, a sofa, and a kitchenette. Everything about the room was perfect. I would not hesitate to stay there again. I did discover this hotel is a little hard to find as its short sign cannot be seen from the freeway, and if I hadn't had its address in my GPS I would have missed it. Hint - after exiting the freeway, go north and take a right at the very first street past the access road on that side of the freeway (that access road is a one-way you cannot enter). That right you do take is just at the edge of the Shell gas station that is right there. If you pass the Popeyes you have gone too far. The street you turn right on does not have a street sign and there is no sign pointing you toward the hotel at that intersection.
Exceptional Hotel
I feel how weak and fruitless, must be any words of mine, that would attempt to beguile one from knowing how very pleasurable my stay has been at this Hotel. I am a traveling Survey Engineer, and have stayed at many, many Hotels. I can rank this Hotel as my one of my top Hotels. Excellent Staff, Excellent Customer Service, Fantasticly Clean Rooms, And a Great Breakfast Presentation. I cannot refrain from tendering to you and your Staff, the Consolation that may be found in the THANKS, for having made this Such A Very Nice Stay for me. My hats off to you!
Underfunded/Understaffed
This hotel has great potential. They have a swimming pool, small gym, gathering spaces, nice rooms...but staying here is frustrating. This is my second time here. The last time was in November 2019. Just like last time, the little snack store next to the lobby is almost completely empty. Just like last time, at all hours of the day, staff is not to be found at the front desk. They are required to leave the desk to do other things in the hotel, yet there is no bell or phone at the desk to signal a guest needs help at the desk. Just like last time, the breakfast had been largely picked clean and the trash bins nearby were overflowing. The fitness room had the ac/heat set to off and the controls locked. The room was too hot and had overflowing trash. The exercise machines were covered with dust and drip marks (sweat?). There were a couple of positive changes I saw during this visit. The abandoned/smashed car was gone from the parking lot and the worst of the outdoor trash was picked up. The folks who work here seem nice as well! Unfortunately the hotel does not seem to give them the funding they need to take better care of the place and make it more comfortable for visitors.
not recommend
Hotel is not clean for many reasons. Floor, inside of elevator, breakfast and so on. It’s acceptable. But you should know room condition. Cockroaches is everywhere on desk, bathroom door, and even pillow. OMG. I’m member of choice hotel as of today. My royalty to choice hotel chain is not changed but need to inform to all other travelers to avoid unpleasure stay. I’m sorry to owner but you need to be improved. Your unprofessional work ethic ruins someone’s vacation, business, and right.
Nice property and helpful staff but needs oversight!
This is a nice property but someone in charge is not paying attention to details. I checked in without any issues, though during my time in the lobby I noticed the light fixtures were full of dead bugs. Big bugs! Like dragonflies! I went to my room and found the TV had issues. The friendly desk clerk had to leave the front desk to come help me out. The next morning I saw a similar situation when the front desk clerk was also responsible for maintaining and then cleaning up the breakfast area. In this scenario, one or the other gets neglected. Later I used the guest laundry and it was clear that someone had washed severely dirty clothes in the washer (sand/mud was around the door seal). I wonder if someone regularly inspects the machines. When I went to use the pool, it had a sign on the fence saying "Pool Closed by Health Department." I decided to get my exercise in the fitness room instead. The treadmill turned out to be broken. Also broken: the card reader at the back door. Sorry, you'll have to walk around. There's a nice room near the front desk that serves as a "Marketplace" for snack foods, drinks, etc. The shelves and coolers were virtually empty. Is someone not ordering supplies at this hotel?
