Was Overbooked and Refused Me Refund

I booked and paid for 2 rooms with Holiday Inn Express. I booked the rooms 1 month ahead of time. On the day of check-in I called that Holiday Inn to ask a question and she could not find my itinerary nor my name, and that the hotel was full. I had to quickly get another hotel fast in that area. This was a business trip. This last minute scramble cost me extra money and a place i feel was not to my standard. Holiday Inn refuses to refund my money. Big mistake Holiday Inn Express. It would be better and less expensive to have done the right thing. As for me, it comes back multiplied. As for you, a black eye and lost revenue. I have influence and use it to promote or demote.

Overnight stay before Cruise

Wonderful stay. Kelly at the front desk was so much help. She helped us get our boarding passes printed for our cruise this morning. She was definitely a blessing. Thank you so much for making our stay wonderful.

Much Better Than Our HIExpress Houston Corridor Stay

One review noted the grass on each side of the freeway side parking lot entry had high grass. This may not be owned by the hotel. I’m not sure. When we arrived we were excited the building was much newer than the one we’d stayed in the night before. Everything had a modern feel to it. The air conditioning was nice and cool, and very quiet comparatively speaking. The bed was semi-comfortable, but ok. There’s no bathtub, only a shower with shower gel, shampoo & conditioner mounted in the shower. Our shower gel was empty,so we improvised using the sink bar soap. Our tissue dispenser was also empty. I’m not sure if this is due to Covid & worker’s hours bring cut, or why this was the case. When we were there they still offered the breakfast buffet but we didn’t eat there. It was relatively quiet considering it’s located near the freeway. I would stay at this location again if I found myself in the area.

Such a clean place to stay. Very friendly staff who makes sure you know exactly where to go and where to go to get food and makes sure you have everything you need. When we pass back through we will be staying here again!

So first impression of this place was not the best. The grass and grounds around the hotel are a mess so overgrown I’m not sure if they just don’t own the place around the actual hotel or just don’t mow it but it really needs to be maintained better. We had reservations so we kind of had to stay so we go inside and aren’t greeted at all but just assumed it was because she was busy with other customers but no as soon as she was done with them she gets on her cell phone the whole time she checked us in which I think is rude and poor customer service. The reason I gave it such a high rating is the room was really nice and clean and loved the walk in shower. Would possibly stay there again. Just would hope for better first impression and customer service.
