Good honest review

Stayed 2 weeks - Room 2309 lovely view of 2 quiet pools - housekeeping were great clean towels room water replenishing each day thankyou. No lifts in hotel lots or steps or slopes to get access to our room. Checking in was quick and efficient friendly approach. Hotel grounds are lush and very green lots of wildlife in natural surroundings. Breakfast choice was great although if early had to chase salt pepper for the table. Beach area cleaned daily by friendly staff - lots of availability for beds and parasols. Sunset beach bar got to mention Bang/Nook excellent service always with a smile also friendly and very efficient even on busy Times thanks both. Lunch/ evening meals excellent choice quality of food and lovely presentation. Overall great stay and local town easy walk and nanna on the beach also serves great food. Things that could possibly be improved - drink choice as we were all inclusive only 1 menu to choose from and not any branded spirits only seen vodka smirnoff but you pay extra!! Sunset bar does not open until 11am - no on site fridges for water so if u bring any drinks down from room warm by 8am so had to walk into town to get cold drinks as 11am seems far to late Price of the holiday should include premium drinks even if just happy hour - had to go to JoJo for bombay and baileys - I purchased prossecco in supermarket and requested bucket of ice - this is chargeable by hotel Slippers in room are flip flops - don't pack for taking home as your room is checked upon departure and they require them back. Overall good but needs a bit included to be worth the price in the all inclusive deals.

Decent hotel

Reviewed 30 march, 2023

Rooms were a little drab and the pools were small. Beach was nice and the breakfasts were of a high quality and varied on a daily basis. Had a nature vibe to it with lovely trees and fauna. Reception was efficient. Decent hotel but there are many better in Khao Lak.

Almost Perfect

Reviewed 29 march, 2023

All just about perfect, as others have already said, only 2 niggles for me 1, some staff have don't have a very good understanding of the English language we found this is a problem when interacting with them. 2, we were there on the all-inclusive option only to find out there are two drinks menus and the other menu has more cocktails on it you can order from the other menu but you have to pay …. come on management after we spent thousands to get there it feels a little penny pinching

An Amazing Place to Stay!

Reviewed 22 march, 2023

My husband and I stayed for 12 glorious days at the Khaolak Merlin Resort earlier this month. We stayed in a Garden Pool Access Room, which gave us private entry into a pool shared with only seven other rooms, and our own outdoor balcony. Wouldn’t have really mattered which room we stayed in though, because there were four other pools to choose from and the amazing beach just a few steps away. The resort was fantastic. The staff were great, the surrounding environment of rainforest trees and wildlife provided an endless source of delight, and the overall peace provided us with the opportunity to really relax. We could not rate the resort highly enough!

Amazing hotel , location and staff

Reviewed 19 march, 2023

Wonderful hotel We went as a very large group of 11 Throughout the entire trip we never had difficulties being a large group there was always available space The hotel is absolutely stunning, it was amazing to sit in the balcony and watch the array of wildlife. The pools are brilliant and the walk from the rooms to the main pools is so pretty although it did make me jealous of the people with the private pools they looked great Breakfast was always Fantastic every morning Although you are outside of Khao lak main town there are plenty of taxis but I would recommend popping into and have organising taxis with the tour guides as they are a lot cheaper than the pick up trucks!
