Modern and stylish hotel in front of Byzantine wall
Nearby the Railway station and not far from the center. This nice and modern hotel is in a quite place not for from the Seaside. Very clean and comfortable. I stayed on the thourth floor in the room with a spacious terrace. Internet connection was very good and fast!
GOOD FOR THE PRICE
For the price hotel was ok it was very clean. location is a bit far out the room was large and bathroom decent beds super comfy simple concept the room how ever was a bit of a sweatbox we never saw any reception staff key was just left in reception and they emailed me a code to get in to the building had i not got the email i couldn't of got in if your looking for cheap then this place is great but for the sake of another tenner there are much better options available.
Nice place
Nice place to stay. Very clean, good size rooms, really quiet. Good location if you don't want to be slap bang in the middle of town but close enough to walk in. Only problem we had was the toilet in our room had a slight leak so would take a while to fill but that is just a very slight fault in this clean, very good value hotel. Would definitely stay again.
New concept
Before 'landing' to Urban Donkey Hotel i had few doubts whether apartment units and whole building can be host guests properly. I was surprised with the new concept, turning apartment units into hotel rooms with very futuristic look inside rooms. I was happy with rooms, very clean, open concept and in nice location with good view. Easy reachable to Thessaloniki center both walking distance and driving. Not very happy with breakfast, but probably it goes with a concept, Urban.
Simple and spacious
Urban Donkey offers simple, contemporary, and spacious accommodation close to central Thessaloniki and the city's train station. The hotel includes a large lobby with café-style seating and a pleasant, plant-filled terrace that is open throughout the day. Rooms are large with bold, urban colours and exposed brick and concrete walls. Bathrooms provide only basic soap and towels but are spacious and new. Beds are larger than average and quality mattresses promise a good night's sleep. Additional pillows are available upon request. Breakfast is slightly limited and the hotel does not have many cafes or restaurants in its immediate vicinity. Otherwise Urban Donkey offers a comfortable and satisfying stay in Thessaloniki suitable for couple, solo, or business travel. This review is based on a 2-night stay in September 2018.
