Its architecture was inspired by the old Brazilian colonial farms, decorated with specially paned items, giving to the space an atmosphere that mixes sophistication, elegance and much romanticism. In addition to a king size bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and goose feather pillows, air conditioning, ceiling fan, pay-TV, wireless internet, minibar and safe, Luxury Bungalows have private outdoor area with a Victorian hot tub and solarium.

The Best Pousada in North-East
We stayed at this beautiful place during crazy Covid times for 8 nights November 2020. One of the best places we ever stayed at and we travel the world a lot. Starting with a great staff and genuine hospitality and kindness from EVERY member of the pousada. From the guy cleaning the pool to upper management - just GREAT people. We felt like we made friends.Beautiful grounds of lush jungle, meticulously maintained, two wonderful pools( go for the second - more private one), wild life - we fead monkeys, listened to very loud frogs, they even have a crocodile somewhere on property, but he hides, so we couldn't spot him. Delicious breakfast served daily- wonderful fruits and different juices every day, pastries and amazing outdoor wood stoves where they cook your omlets and toast to order. Dinner is not to be missed. In 8 nights, we ate at the property for 4. Fish in a banana leaf is the best dish. Hotel is located right in the heart of main street in Pipa but yet quite and secluded. Luxury bungalow is a must! It is your own house with private terrace wrap around and private walk way. Speacial thanks to general manager Rafa for making our vacation a special one!
Sensational
A piece of paradise! We had such a great time, the hotel is beautiful and the staff can’t be more friendly Location is excellent, and all the food we tried in the restaurant were delicious. We were sad we couldn’t stay longer, but we are definitely going there again
Poor maintenance, service and management
We paid twice as much for the villa not knowing that it comes with a special surprise - a toilet that doesn’t flush. A very romantic touch indeed that provided the ultimate intimate experience in what is best described as the bathroom equivalent of “Whack a mole”. If you want a more traditional toilet experience the public throne by the pool is always available ... It has flower petals floating in the bowl and best of all your business isn’t left floating around when you’ve finished ... I’m hoping thought that the flower petals were not left overs from the previous guest. The two swimming pools at the hotel have green algae covering the tiles creating that authentic natural lagoon look. I’m a little old fashioned though and prefer my pool to be clean. To the hotel's credit, they did decide to clean the pool .... as we were checking out. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to it’s own allegedly “better beach” experience, with the service running every hour with the reliability of a Swiss train, give or take 30 min. Its a bewildering service given the beach they take you too is grotty and classified as dangerous (the sign directly out the front states “mar perigoso”). If you want to pay twice as much for your drinks and food, and risk your body washing up in West Africa then by all means go for a swim but I’d recommend not to waste your time and just walk to Praia dos Golfinhos. On the subject of unreliable transport it would be remiss of me to not mention the exceptionally poor transport service organised by the hotel for our return trip to the airport in Natal. Not only did the private driver not turn up on time (no surprise there), this time they didn’t turn up at all. When we asked the hotel manager to find out what was going on we were told that the private driver was only 5 min away. Fifteen minutes later a taxi turned up instead, organised by the private driver because he claims he forgot about our booking. In a stunning display of ignorance and disrespect, the hotel manager did not seem too worried about this opting to downplay the situation because we still had time to make our flight. That’s true but only because we always plan to arrive at the airport with plenty of time in case of such ineptitude - ineptitude that we should not be seeing at hotel costing this much. The hotel manager then proceeded to distance themselves from their transport recommendation stating it is the only option in Praia da Pipa. This is not true - there is still the local taxi service which we promptly organised our own taxi with, rejecting the taxi organised by the private driver who still expected us to pay full private transport rates. Seems like the private driver and the hotel might have a nice little scam running whereby they never intend to provide a private driver and profit from just ordering you a normal cab. Unfortunately for them, this is not our first rodeo so we managed to travel back to Natal in our own nice clean large taxi for 30% cheaper. Karma. On a positive note for the hotel, the large villa was nice (except for the toilet), the staff are friendly (the manager is friendly but clearly incompetent), the breakfast good and the dinner very good (the waiter for our dinner was terrific). In summary, the hotel is overpriced given the many service and maintenance failures. The high ratings I think reflect a lower standard that Brazilians have grown accustomed too because it's certainly not at the standard of other hotels we have stayed in around the world with the same ratings. We would not stay here again.
5 Stars - to recommend
Once again: Awesome 5 stars (but a problem: see at the end). We stayed 6 years ago for the first time in the „Toca da Coruja“. Amazing Nature-Reserve and big Houses to relax and enjoy. Of course the breakfast was and is still fantastic. In general to recommend, no doubt at all. Love it. The only thing which the owner/manager should be really aware about is the maintenance: a lot of equipment in the houses, on the pool and in the garden is broken and/or damaged. As there are meanwhile a lot of „5 stars Hotels“ in Pipa, this situation can bring you down to 4 points or less very fast. As well as there was too less service-persons during breakfast or at the pools. Too many people (guests) waited too often too long for food/coffee. The team was/is very friendly, fast and helpful as always. Great. We stayed 8 days (House). Very bad was the situation on the beach bar: The Service Team was standing (all) on the bar and talking (shouting/joking/playing) so loud (the whole day) that it was impossible to relax. And we had been only 4 guests on the Beach-Bar. Not good if you want to be a „5 stars“ !
