Quiet, clean and friendly
We stayed at Kangaroo for 9 days in total and we were overall satisfied despite being an hostel. We had the double futon room and you get 1 hand towel, hairdryer and shoes for indoor, also you'll find shampoo, conditioner and body soap here. If you need iron or adapters you just need to ask for it. At the first floor you'll find a coffee machine and with just 100 yen you'll get what you want. Around the hostel you will find supermarkets, vending machines, small café and the train station (this one is around 10 minutes by walk, nothing impossible).the check in is from 4 pm, we arrived quite late (at 10 pm), we let them know and they waited for us. Unfortunately the room was very small and we had 4 lagguage.. It was hard to fit them in it
The Kangaroo is a great little place with bright clean rooms. The stairs to the second floor are a little steep, and there's no elevator, but it's totally doable. The free WiFi on each floor is blazing fest. I'd definitely stay here again!
If this place only had a better location, closer to Shibuya or Shinjuku, it would have been close to perfect. The rental bikes are for those with short legs, but they work great. The rooms are supersmall, but clean. The beds could absolutely be a bit more comfy, but no problem for just a night or two. Other wise this hostel has it all. It's clean and stylish, and in a quiet area.
Receptionists are very helpful! We stayed 9 nights in the hotel. Good WiFi facilities. Room is small but worth for the price. Many shops are close to the hotel. Neighbors don't disturb. Also bathroom and lobby room is clean.
Unique place with a small and cozy room
Hassle free check-in and check-out process. Location is about 15 minutes walk from the nearest train station. It's in a quiet neighbourhood and near a supermarket and 7-11 store. The lobby area is cozy, with lots of books and tourist information available for consumption. They have a coin operated washer and dryer. Inside the room they provide you with a personal ref, a hair dryer and a small television. Small towels are provided though you will need to either bring your own big towel or rent one for use when showering. Strong water pressure in the shower with hot water available 24 hours. Place is affordable, stayed for 6 nights A good 10-15 minutes walk to to Minami-senju Station and very accessible to Narita airport via Joban Line. On the negative side, it would be nice to have the shower area be touched up with fresh coat of paint or some scrubbing/cleaning. No heating along the corridors and shower area, so better cover up during winter when walking to and from your room to the toilet and shower area. No lift/elevators, if you have a heavy luggage, be prepared to carry it to your room. Shower facility is on the first level only, while toilet is on the second and third level only.
