Not luxury
The price is relative to the other strand based accommodation but I was expecting a lot more from the only high rise directly on the beach. Room is clearly out dated & furniture damaged, the bathroom is the most in need of a makeover. I was shocked to find that pool towels need to be paid to hire, WIFI also needed to be paid for, bathroom amenities & tea/coffee were extremely basic. I even noticed a sign advising to take your own rubbish (I could maybe understand the seafood section). Parking is good, we didn’t have any issues. Good for large vehicles. Reception extremely helpful over the phone. Aircon was fantastic & I had a stunning view. Close to seafood restaurants & coffee club. The most frustrating thing I found was the bathroom door, it couldn’t really be closed & even when I struggled to latch it, the door wouldn’t line up anyway. So basically no privacy. Overall, this is a nice place to stop over but unfortunately for a luxury relaxing stay it just doesn’t cut it.
A Dump!! Look elsewhere
Booked for birthday evening. What a rip off, nearly $200 a night for a dirty 2 star room. No internet access, no pool towel, nowhere to place suitcases. Street view, no water view. Furniture from the 70s art from Silly Sollys and original painting were a travesty ...Room 104 you are an embarrassment and a rip off. How the hell can this dump get a 4star rating...So wrong and ripped off.
Disappointed
Booked to what is supposed to be a 4star hotel Well the only thing 4 start is the view and location It really annoys me when I book a hotel based on its rating and it’s clearly not you are expecting The room needs updating Hole in lounge Marks on the walls Shabby is what I can say You have to pay extra for a beach towel What are they thinking It’s a bloody hotel And paying for internet We are in Australia !!!! How can we expect people to come to Australia to see our beautiful country when we offer accommodation which is clearly misleading Lift you game
Clearly Not 4 Star
It's seemingly beyond comprehension how this hotel has a 4 Star Rating, Never in a million years. It struggles to make 2 Star, certainly not 3! Its tired, albeit clean, basically fitted out, but our settee had a large hole in it🙄 having to pay for WiFi and beach towel usage or purchase?? Its location is it's only salvation. Thank goodness this was a short stay.
Good room and view shame about the extra costs for internet and beach towels
The apartment was in fair condition and had a small balcony overlooking the sea front. The car parking area does not have sufficient spaces for the number of rooms, so that can be a problem. Our big disapointment was having to pay $10 for wifi, and in this day and age this should not be the case when you are paying $130+ a night. They also charge you $15 to borrow a beach towel to take to the pool! Just made you feel unwelcome.
