Good stay, somewhere outdated rooms, compensated by friendly staff

Probably the best location in Trier, next to Porta Nigra and big parking. Rooms are somewhere outdated and would need refurbishment, but clean and all you need. Covid proof and excellent buffet breakfast.
hotel in a good position

The hotel is directly in front of the porta nigra. Easy to reach also the city center with all the shops and caffees.Rooms are good. Breadfast too. Parking space is unfortunately very expensive. The bar opens unfortunately only in the evening 5pm.

Arrived at Trier by train from Luxembourg for our one night stay in the town. The hotel is about a 1000 yard walk from the station, straight out the station straight down the main road and the hotel is on the right: simple. The booking in was straight forward and the staff helpful enough and the Privilege room that we booked was both clean and tidy and had an excellent view over the Porta Nigra. (There's a supermarket just through the gates and on the left.) For some unknown reason Accor hotels only supply one bathrobe even though two persons are booked for the room, not that we ever use them just curious. The town has ample sights to see and its worth a walk to both former Roman bridges that cross the Mosel river here, although the original bridges were both destroyed in the war. Karl Marks house is not that far away nor is his statue and the Roman baths (now under repair) is worth the walk. The helpful staff at reception will supply you with a map. We did not dine at the hotel as we prefer to eat locally nor do we pass comment on the sleep quality as you either have good night sleep or you don't, can't blame the hotel: simple really. The town and the hotel was worth a one day stop overt. Good hotel, in a good location, with good staff and booked at a good price: what more do you want. Bon journey
Don't bother with breakfast

The staff where very nice and helpful at the front desk and the hotel was clean. It is also in an excellent location. My negative comment is about breakfast. I asked what the breakfast was like since it is during COVID and was told it would be a full buffet. It was dry scrambled eggs, so kind a sausage and beans. The bread and croissants where are dry and stale. I only took breakfast as I wanted to get up early and eat before cycling for the day and this was terrible.
Very good hotel ogkind service

This is a very fine hotel. Very helpful persons at the reception. The room was fine and clean, ours overloking the Porta Nigra. Breakfast was fine and the restaurant spacious. The bar was open from 5o'clock and it is possibly to sit outside and enjoy af good german beer. It seems like it was build in the 1970'ies when you looked at the breakfast-restaurant and the broad staircase from the reception. The bathroom was also Accor-classic, which gave us a lot of space to put out things and everything worked fine and was very clean, which felt good and safe in covid-19-times
