B&B Sotto il Faro - Trieste

We stayed four nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The B&B is convenient for local bus routes into Trieste and very close to the Societa Velica Barcola e Grignano - so an ideal place to stay for sailors with regattas at SVBG. The hosts. Staff & Davide were welcoming and really put themselves out to make us welcome. Our room was extremely comfortable. The twin wasn't available but an extra bed was placed in the room we stayed in and that was absolutely fine. The B&B is quite close to the main railway line to/from Venice but the room was surprisingly quiet thanks to really good double glazing. No problem in the summer either thanks to excellent air conditioning. Breakfast was "spoiled for choice", fruit, cereals, bread, meats, cheeses, dessert type foods, excellent coffee. In the rooms too there were many extra food and snack items. I could criticise - some of the breakfast selection was not totally fresh daily, but everything was carefully covered and chilled so no hygiene issues. The owners do have cats and a dog which do pass through the breakfast room. I am slightly asthmatically allergic to cats and did have a minor problem with one blanket in the bedroom that made me sniff. But I pointed that out and it was swiftly removed. Great B&B. If returning to Trieste would definitely want to stay there.

Absolutely professional hospitality! Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Davide and Stef are very friendly and helpful hosts. Private parking is safe. For breakfast, we were offered a great selection of fruit, cereal, bread, cheese, ham and delicious desserts and coffee. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

I stayed at Sotto il Faro with my husband over Easter. The B&B has only three rooms which are comfortable and lovingly decorated by Stefan and Davide. Their living room doubles as breakfast room in the morning where they will serve you a delicious cappucino and give you a lot of recommendations for all things Trieste. Their place is very cozy and you feel warmly welcome. The location is a bit outside the center but well connected by public transport, which we however didn't use since we came with our own car.

The room is tastefully designed and breakfast was good and generous. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the area, passionate about their countries. We were lucky to have booked this place. Good place to stay on our way to Noventa. 值得推薦👍🏻👍🏻 The only downside was the recommended restaurant was not as good as we expected.

It was wonderful to stay in this well-kept bed and breakfast, located in a very nice and strategic area of Trieste, for 3 nights. The rooms and the bathroom, beautifully furnished, are well-kept in every detail. Breakfast is rich and abundant: fruit, desserts and every goodness. There is also a private car park that is important here. Even more surprising was the kindness and competence of the owners, who were ready to offer advice on places to visit and to provide detailed explanations on the history and customs of these places. It is worth going back to Trieste just to get back into this familiar and professional atmosphere at the same time. Thanks again Stefano and Davide!
