Decent hotel, convenient would stay here again. Sink was stopped up however we weren’t staying long enough for it to be an issue in and out. If it was more than a 10 hour stay I would say something. Overall it was not a big issue. Got in late left checked out early for event.

I’ve stayed here three times this year, can’t say enough about the staff, super friendly and professional, rooms clean and nice. They take care of any problems you may have immediately. I will recommend this property to everyone.

When we checked in to the hotel it was great. The gal was helping us with some issues at check in that really weren’t a large issue at all. But at approximately 1am people began slamming the doors to the side of us and across the hall. There was also about 15-20 people outside the entrance to the hotel partying. Which could be heard from our hotel room on the 2nd floor as our window faced that exact area. Room 215 for reference. At approximately 2am we were awakened to someone trying to forcefully enter our room. At that time, I called the front desk. There was no answer so I went down to the front desk. After 15 minutes of loudly asking to speak to a manager, a gal poked her head from around the back wall and said “what?” As if I was bothering her. I asked her if she could explain why someone would be trying to enter our room at 2am. She claimed she didn’t make any keys for any rooms that night. When I asked why people would be slamming their doors all night, she responded with “well who was it?”. I expressed my concern for the fact that we were traveling with a 9 year old child and that someone tried to break into our room and that there were several individuals slamming doors and being loud outside. All she said was “well you can call the cops if you want.” At that point I realized she was wasting my time and not going to do anything about the issues I addressed. The door slamming continued until well after 3am. The party outside continued until about 4am. That morning around 8am I went downstairs and discussed my issues with the manager. To my relief the same gal that checked us in was at the counter and I explained what happened all night long. Three other individuals expressed the same issues on floors 1 and 3. So every floor was dealing with that all night long and the manager on duty during that time did nothing about the issues. After that we went to gather our belongings and check out. While checking out, the incompetent manager came from behind the wall and began getting loud and disrespectful with me and said that I was basically lying about what had happened at just 2am that morning. Literally not even 6 hours before. She sure did remember me from 2 am but apparently had amnesia about the party happening directly outside or was deaf to the door slamming happening on every floor. I am highly upset about our experience. As you should be with how your night manager did nothing about the issues that happened that evening. She deserves to be reprimanded or fired at the very least. As a guest staying in an overnight facility with a young child I want to be safe and secure in my surroundings, as well as have a peaceful stay. Your manager provided none of those items for us or the other guests staying in your facility that evening. The gal who checked us in and out though, superb customer service. That’s a manager who looks out for the guests and the reputation of the business. Shame on you for allowing to keep someone on staff who clearly does not belong in hospitality.

We booked a few nights at The Hampton Inn during a visit to Troy University. We arrived later in the evening after hours of driving. We were tired and ready for rest and sleep. We checked in and went to our room only to find that there was a loud, unrelenting barking dog across the hall. And the pet owners were not there. We were surprised that The Hampton Inn even allows pets. This was an immediate concern, as I am allergic to dogs and my son is allergic to cats. We waited a bit hoping the dog would quiet and hoping my allergies would not flare. In the meantime my son wanted to take a quick shower, but we couldn’t do that either as there was no shower curtain. My husband finally went to the front desk to see what could be done about the dog and shower curtain. Many others were at the front desk to complain about the same dog. The desk clerk informed them all that there was nothing she could do and if we felt that strongly, we could call the police, who would do nothing as well. While there, my husband also told her we didn’t have a shower curtain. Her response was “really, that’s odd” and she didn’t even offer to find one for us. At this point, I called another hotel and made arrangements to stay there. My husband told the clerk why we were leaving and asked to have the manager call him the next day. We left our number but received no call. After calling several times and even returning to the hotel, we finally spoke to Kim, the manager. Kim said we could get a refund that we just needed to let Reservations.com know about the problems we had there. We contacted Reservations.com and they said they would refund us if the hotel manager provided them with an okay to do so. It’s been over a week now. We’ve called the hotel several times, left messages for Kim, and haven’t heard another word from them. We are very disappointed in this hotel and frankly it’s tainted our view of the Hampton Inn in general.

The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and for the most part getting there is easy access from the highway. There is no real reason avoid the place. BUT, the rooms are really starting to look worn and need a refreshing. The owner might wat to think about doing it in the near future.
