Keeps Us Coming Back
Troy, Alabama is a nice town, and a favorite place for us to stop each year on our way to Florida. We've stayed several times now at the Hampton Inn & Suites and have never been disappointed. The place is always clean (a high priority with me), the staff is always friendly and helpful, beds are comfy, and they have all the amenities we want and need. Their location is very handy too, close by to one of our favorite restaurants, a very nice car wash, grocery and other retail. Side entry door requires a room key, and the parking lot was well lit, which made the property feel secure. Gracie, at the front desk, was exceptionally sweet and gave us information we needed for our stay. We appreciated her helpfulness and positive attitude, and we plan to return on more of our future travels.
Clean
Our room was very clean and much larger than I expected. We really enjoyed our stay. We were just in town over-night to attend a funeral and we were totally satisfied with our room and the beds were very comfortable. I would have liked to have a guide for the TV and there was not one on the remote either.
Clean and Simple
So, this was a quick stop over while traveling for me. The lobby was clean and updated. The front desk staff was very nice. The room is very average, but clean. The bed itself was comfortable. Wish the TV was larger. Was able to find a variety of food options nearby. Only complaint was the USB port and electric plug on the nightstand didn’t work, but there was another option on the light. Overall, nothing exciting but standard Hampton Inn expectations were met.
Clean
Traveled to Troy first of June, because our son was playing in a baseball tournament. We were a little unsure of traveling due to Covid. When we arrived and went in lobby I was put at ease. They had done very well at social distancing and cleaning. Rooms , hallway and lobby ares were extremely clean. They were not able to provide breakfast, like they normally would, but they had put together grab and go sacks, with muffins, and water. Everyone was super nice and helpful, from the front desk, to the housekeeping staff. So thank you so much for all you do.
Troy Game
Why?! The question I ask every time I come to Troy. Why does this town not have more or better hotels? This Hampton Inn is very mediocre, but they get away with this because it is one of the only hotels available here. Our room was clean. The desk clerk was nice, professional, and efficient. But, the room!!! The door to the bathroom did not close all the way unless you slammed the door (had to force it closed). The cabinet where the refrigerator was located was off its hinge, and the fridge rocked. Bottom line......People will continue to stay here because it’s one of the only places to stay and it’s near campus. Definitely NOT worth the $160 price tag on game day.
