If you want to stay at a 500 year old bed and breakfast with all original features then this the place. The farm is charming, Lynne the owner was lovely and nothing was to much for her. Breakfast was very good. You do need a car even for a quick trip the local as no paths on the main road. Would highly recommend.
Highly Recommend But Not Disabled Friendly

Canonsgrove Farm is a lovely 500-year-old building set in very peaceful surroundings. Lin was lovely and really looked after us, if you want anything she will try her best to get it for you. We did not meet Colin as he was swamped working on the farm. The breakfast in the morning sets you up for the day, fresh fruit, cereals, a full English Breakfast, toast, fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. In my opinion, it's not disabled-friendly, but please phone and speak to Lin and Colin if you have walking difficulties or trouble climbing stairs. Thank you, Lin and Colin, for putting us up in the cottage; we really appreciated it. I have put some photos of the cottage, but not the kitchen. There was (No Oven, Microwave or fridge.) There was a kettle, cups and plenty of milk, tea, sugar, coffee and biscuits. If you need more, ask Lin at breakfast. If you come off the road at Taunton, carry on down the road, and you will come across Canonsgrove House and a gate, don't stop carry on down the road, and you will see Canonsgrove B and B on the right turn down there, and the B and B is on the left.

Excellent accommodation and hosts. We were well catered for and the breakfast was superb. Highly recommend to any visitors in the area. Thanks for all of your hard work and local advice from the cyclists. (we made it to lands end and you were right - Devon was the toughest!)
Quirky but great

We decided to stay in Taunton for a short break but wanted somewhere different to stay so searched TripAdvisor and found this place. They have 2 rooms and we chose the en-suite one. The house is 500 years old so is REALLY interesting and has lots of very quirky bits and bobs to look at and explore. Parking is easy; right outside your own front door. The breakfasts were lovely; lots of choice and nicely prepared and served. One of the best things is Lin (owner) who was great. She has lived in the area a long time and was able to advise us where to visit (and where not to visit). The bedroom is big and everything sort of slopes adding to the overall ambience of our visit. If we go back to that area we will certainly go back to Canonsgrove Farm.

House was a little hard to find but once there we loved it! Lovely old homestead, very peaceful and quiet. We had the choice of 2 rooms, we chose the one with the adjoining bathroom as it had a huge tub! I soaked for a good 1.5hrs before having a wonderful sleep. Breakfast of cereal, bacon and eggs on toast and coffee was lovely..it was lovely to meet Colin and Lyn. Thank you, highly recommend!
