Hotel
This hotel is seeing wear. It is old & somewhat shabby. It is however clean & well located near the freeway. Breakfast was adequate. We were there during the gem shore and it was very overpriced at $139
Just off I-10, nice staff, average room and breakfast.
Plenty of parking when we pulled in. Checked in by a very friendly young man. The room was kind of an odd setup w/the sink being just inside the main door. It was dark and hard to find a light. Seemed like the hotel could use an update. But after we went and grabbed Wendy's, we came back and had a decent nights sleep. Got up and had coffee, a waffle and some amazing bacon! Cleaning staff could be a little friendlier when in the hallways... Other than that, a good average stay.
Clean and safe
This was a clean property and safe. We were a little far from downtown - about 15 minutes. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Tucson. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful - which is always a plus! :)
Convenient to I-10, but the room illumination could use improvement.
The hotel is located in an industrial area which can seem to be rather isolated - especially at night - although it is very convenient to I-10. The morning breakfast service selection is pretty good - the do it yourself waffles usually have two choices, one is the original and the other rotates every few days. Otherwise, there are several types of eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, muffins, yogurt, fruit, cereals, apple or orange juice, coffee and tea available during the morning. The gracious and friendly ladies who oversaw the breakfast were always checking with us to see if we needed anything else before they closed the breakfast at 09:30 since we tended to eat around 09:00 most mornings. For us, the double beds were average comfort-wise and the pillows were not firm enough for our liking, but then we have a queen size bed at home with rather firm pillows. Maybe we ought to take a tip from travelguru Sarah Murdoch and bring one of our pillows with us when we travel........if we can fit in into our carry on luggage, that is :-) The hotel is located close to the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Aircraft Boneyard as well as the Pima Air and Space Museum. There are three eating establishments nearby, a Denny's, a Waffle House and a Wendy's. Other than those, the rest would require a trip down the road a bit. Access to the Tucson International Airport is fairly convenient, about a 15-minute trip. The staff is generally very cordial and bilingual (English and Spanish). Housekeeping was overall, very good. The particular room that we stayed in suffered from a lack of inadequate interior lighting, making it difficult to see beyond the entrance until we were able to reach a lamp that was on one of the tables. It also took a few minutes for the fluorescent lamp over the sink to warm completely up. Being on the ground floor very close to the rear parking lot, opening the curtains for light during the day was a rather limited option. Coming out of the parking lot requires that one pay close attention to the traffic coming from the left as the view is partially obscured by the flowers near the gate. Our room rates fluctuated up and down during our multi-day stay, so it would be good to get as much a notice of those charges if one is booking the hotel ahead of time online or even if checking in on the spur of the moment for a few days or a week. If you need specific room types or locations, make sure to have written confirmation of those ahead of time also.

We found this place after our rather unpleasant stay at the red roof just up in Marana, we had a free room there, all ok, except the staff, Anway we decided not to stay there again. then decided to check out the red roof in nearby, room was not ready, and not great reviews, i decided to go to our usual Choice hotels and check it out. I checked in, room was not quite ready, but hey it was before 3pm. We could of had to doubles right there, but we decided to wait for a king, close to the pool. they recommend a nice burger place near by, great food, great front desk service, compared from we just had. Made our day, clean room, we hung out at the hot tub pool area. CON-- Pool was so cold, burr,,, but front desk warned us of that ,wife enjoyed the hot tub, Breakfast was just fine, all was great, our min vacation from just 53 miles south of tucson, Thanks, and props to your front desk staff, and housekeeping very friendly april 4th one night, room 130 next to pool perfect
