I’m not sure why anyone would write a review based upon an incident they had NO control over, but the shooting was NOT the embassy suites fault nor should it be a reason to deter anyone from choosing this location. It could happened anywhere to stay! This hotel has the best staff I have ever encountered and some of the best rooms. Anyone leaving bad reviews based upon recent events should be ashamed of themselves!!!!! I have never stayed at a hotel where staff treated me so well! I assure you, you will not find a better hotel to stay at in the area!
Ghetto Hot Mess
The Lobby in this hotel is absolutely beautiful so you just assume the rest would be.(NOT) the king corner suites are roomy and nice. However the housekeeping staff is absolutely terrible, during what is supposed to be covid cleaning protocols. There was gum on the wood frame of our bed old Chinese food on the floor all left by the previous guest. Melissa is down right rude and can’t seem to give eye contact. She’s super stand offish!! Parking is way to expensive 19.00 a night!! for the gate that barley works. Rooms are big but dated and not clean. We have stayed 3 times in the last month. Now the straw that broke the camels back was the shooting on the 8th floor right above us! Some of the ghetto local riff raff let off about 10 to 12 shots on the 8th floor of the hotel!!!! On 12/5/2020 The weekends here are nothing but local Gang traffic young girls and their kids running unsupervised throughout the hotel on different floors. This will 1000% be our last time staying here!! All the manager will do is say sorry!!! This horrible unsafe stay warrants more than a damn “I’m Sorry!!! Stay away specially on the weekends!!!! Please take heed and book elsewhere like Bellevue!! Tukwila Kent & Sea-Tac is awful now!..I have Attached pics of the riddled walls from the shooting.
Avoid like the plague (seriously!)
With several hotels close to SeaTac, we chose this one for two reasons: 1. "Contactless arrival". This is a feature the hotel proudly advertises and appealed to us during a covid pandemic, particularly since we live with a 99 year old man (high risk). However, upon arrival the hotel refused to allow us to check-in without first coming to the front desk to show our ID and swipe a credit card. 2. "CleanStay". Another feature the hotel boasts claiming that social-distancing, thorough cleaning of shared spaces and mask wearing are all implemented within the hotel. Nothing could be further from the truth. As we entered the hotel lobby, it was full of people (70-100) not socially distancing, squeezing themselves onto elevators and none of them wearing masks! Staff at the hotel all wore their masks and were very nice and sympathetic to our concerns over not wanting to get sick but are limited to what they can do to enforce the claims made by this hotel. As such, the hotel should not be allowed to make fraudulent advertisements they are unable to meet in order to garner more business.
Consistently Bad
I’ve been at this hotel 5 or 6 times in the last year for business and every time there’s been some sort of massively frustrating snafu. Once the front desk manager increased the price after we had checked out and had receipts for the originally quoted price. It took many phone calls to get through to the accounting department and reverse those charges. Twice we’ve arrived with confirmed reservations for multiple rooms only to be told by the consistently rude front desk staff that they’re overbooked. Two of us would have to share a family suite. When we insist that we need individual rooms, one of us ends up stuck in a glorified janitors closet. Yesterday, the gate to let us out of the parking lot tried to charge us $26 for parking. We’ve never paid for parking before so we went inside and got a new ticket to feed the machine. It said “please pull forward” but the gate failed to raise. Another trip inside and 5 minutes later a maintenance guy came out and raised the gate. They put stickers on the doors to tell you how sanitary their rooms are but one of my coworkers found a half consumed bottle of water in the middle of the floor on our last stay. In general, I don’t trust this place and won’t be booking it for my crew in the future.
