Average Hotel in City Centre

Reviewed 4 october, 2017

Stayed here with my wife for two days vacation in Turin. The Hotel was very difficult to find as it was on the third floor inside a courtyard and up a very small elevator. The rooms were adequate for the price and the owner was very pleasant and helpful. The beds were very hard and no breakfast is served. Its basically a place to get your head down for the night and not much more. The rooms are dated as with all small hotels in Turin and very basic. Was ok for the time we spent there and the cost. Would not recommend if you like your comforts.

Clean, expensive and noisy surroundings

Reviewed 15 april, 2017

We visited this bnb (as it could not be called hotel) for a night. The room was clean, but the surroundings were very noisy. Paid €90 for 1 night for just the room the lady does not even offer breakfast.

Good hotel for staying with friends

Reviewed 22 september, 2015

A very kind woman, the owner, was waiting for us. We had great weekend, partly because the hotel is central located in the city center. The hotel is safe and the rooms are a bit old but the bathrooms are good and clean. It is a good hotel for staying with a couple of friends.

the beauty of simplicity!

Reviewed 26 november, 2011

clean, small but sweet ! the walls were thin but nothing bothered us from having a nice sleep. the smell from the chinese restaurant is intriguing! we chose a room with view in a small garden and it was great. a quiet place to have a cup of coffee in the morning!! the staff was very friendly and helped us a lot. GREAT location! we never used tram or bus. i would definatelly stay there again.

Small simple hotel in great location

Reviewed 24 august, 2011

We spent 4 nights at Hotel Azalea, and while we were initially a little hesitant when we saw the reception area and the room, which are definitely not fancy, we did enjoy our stay and think the hotel is good value for money. Our room was clean and a comfortable size and while the bath was tiny, the shower was good, with plenty of hot water. Wifi internet worked well. The walls are pretty thin so we did sometimes hear the other guests. Our room faced the street so we also experienced some noise from the restaurant below and from passersby. Some rooms face an internal garden and would be quieter but we liked being able to look out and see what was going on outside. We found the bed and pillows too firm for our taste, a common problem in Italian hotels. The best part of staying at Hotel Azalea is the location. The neighborhood near the hotel has many restaurants, cafes, and shops so we enjoyed just walking around. It’s also an easy walk to most museums and other tourist sites around the city. For those few that are farther away, there’s easy access to Torino’s extensive system of buses and trams, with stops for many different lines just a short walk from the hotel. We bought a TorinoCard for each of us and thought it was a great value, as it gave us free access to buses and trams plus entrance to more museums and tourist spots than we had time to visit.
