Hotel Spa

Reviewed 24 june, 2022

A very good place to relax and unwind. The Spa is modern and clean, the pools and changing rooms are spacious. I had a neck and shoulder massage with Joanna in one of the many treatment rooms, which left me feeling great. Lunch in the restaurant afterwards was a good way to end the visit.

You can only review as you find..........

Alexander House - Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We originally had a “Twilight Spa” booked - a present from our daughter, but decided to extend it to an overnight stay. Thank you for the upgrade to “Laburnum” which directly overlooked the spa garden From the moment we checked in the staff were impeccable - I won’t mention names but reception were a delight to deal with and then we were shown around the hotel by a delightful young man (I fibbed when I said I hadn’t been before ). The evening staff were amazing - Bar staff 100% and staff in restaurant 100% - Well Done all of you - (The sirloin steak was perfect - Chef on 15th June) Two small negatives that I think need addressing - constructive feedback I hope. 1. Please sort out your selfish guests who think it is acceptable to claim sunbeds with a towel and pair of glasses and then go off for a treatment expecting their bed to be waiting for them on their return 2. Breakfast in room wasn’t great - will leave it there. Maybe it would have been better if we had gone to restaurant - Who knows? Not going to let the above spoil my five star review though - we had an absolutely brilliant time

Wow honeymoon ruined over bubbles

Reviewed 21 june, 2022

So what started to be a great little mini moon away was all good! However booked through requested some bubbles and they never materialised! Not that we were that bothered after various guests at our wedding being extremely generous we had a car boot stocked better than their cellar… I’m not sure of the name but the girl on the bar was fantastic she supplied us with glasses and buckets of ice! Unfortunately I questioned their manager asking where bubbles where and Charlotte who was in charge clearly had no clue and all she wanted to do was charge me for a bottle! Which is fine on a normal occasion but do you know.. what as a fellow person who works in the hospitality business wanted to add… not sure if I’m just been a diva or this place is just money grabbing to f. So the the suite we booked was 450 a night and we staid 2 nights and had a spa which was god knows probs another few hundred I’ve forgot and they couldn’t even sort a bottle of fiz out as a free be for a newly wed couple! Well done guys in our world we make people feel great at our venues when it’s their special days maybe, think about that! Not to mention the fire alarm woke us all up at 8am in the morning! All in all quick sum up … place lovely…. Management Staff and accommodating people rubbish!! Though bar staff awesome! Just don’t book here for a quick break after a wedding simples. Not bad for a experience where your not that bothered about customer service and fancy just been a number for a day! This could of been a 5 star review over a bottle of 20 quid bubbles…. Well done team management

Lost it's Touch

Used to be a great hotel, but appears to be suffering from staffing (or other) issues, causing inexcusable problems ranging from catering to service. Was insanely loud music in the area I stayed, which they wouldn't do anything about. I had to leave and go elsewhere it was so bad. For that reason, I give this lowest possible review.
