Nice Facility but Unchecked Drug Usage by some Guests

We had to air out our room upon check-in because it was filled with marijuana smoke that had come in under the door that connected our suite to the adjacent one. We asked for a change of room but the hotel was booked up. At 3 am, we woke up to strong odors from the neighboring room and called down to the front desk. We put towels under the door to block out the fumes. When checking out, we enquired and they were profusely apologetic and told us our complaints had been registered but that without evidence they could do very little. Nobody had walked down the corridors where the smell was unmistakable, or tapped on the doors where it appeared to be coming from. It was inconsistent with the no-smoking policy that they take pains to point out at check-in.

This was a great place for our stay; good location, clean, nice little kitchen, free breakfast, etc. The only downside that I noticed was that some days the breakfast was very limited, and when there were several people, the staff didn't keep up well with replenishment. On the other hand, when anything wasn't right in the room, they would have it corrected by the time we got back in the evening.

Pros: Location,you can walk to food establishments. There are 3 TVs for the double suite. Wine glasses added to the cups etc . Bowls and pitcher were handy also. The plastic saving dispenser in the bath are good. Friendly staff. 5 Washers and dryers . Many outlets. But bring your adapter for the phone charger. The heating was quieter than the window unit. You can open the windows. Cons: As my title explains,there was the smell of pot in the hallway also. As we were there during covid,the breakfast was sparse. { another hotel took orders and served hot breakfast} Hampton inn did a better job with that . In the 2 bedroom suite for 5 people it wasn’t that roomy. Bed in one room very close to the wall .No luggage racks . Our dishwasher didn’t work. So hand washing was not fun . I did not have them fix it because didn’t want anyone in the room because of covid. Which was another problem with towels, we left them in the all way . Management said make sure they are in bags. Then the garbage was a problem, not a fan of the tiny garbage pails. But leaving the garage bags in the hall was upsetting management. Notes were left stating not to leave it in the hall. So we placed ours in the dumpster. The room wasn’t covid clean. Curtain were dirty , stains in couch .Roaches were on the counters. Mold in bathrooms. The rule is 6 feet apart but their elevator is 4 feet wide.

Unprofessional staff

We stayed at this place with our 6 year old and a newborn child. Upon arrival at 3 pm which is check-in time, we were notified that our room was not ready, even though we let them know we would get there right at 3 at least two hours before . We waited more than half an hour for a room to be ready. We did not make a fuss, we just waited patiently. Unfortunately when it was time to check out we checked out at 11:15 instead of 11. We received a call at 10:55 by a staff member named Atia telling us that we needed to be checked out right away . She proceeded to call back again at 11. We than informed her that we are getting ready to leave and needed few more min. At 11:05 we were rudely interrupted by a loud knock at the door with Ms. Atia herself now threatening us that "you need to leave immediately or else you will be charged a late fee." When my husband informed her that we were checked in more than half an hour late so why is 15 min such a problem, her reply was "we are short of staff!!?" Most staff at this facility is extremely unprofessional, unorganized and disoriented. The housekeeping and cleaning crew were professional enough and kept the hotel clean which was the only reason we didn't leave after the first day with our infant (other incidents). People at the front desk needs to be trained or re-trained for how to deal with Guest and not blame everything on "we are short of staff."

Lousy mattress decent hotel

We travel for husbands job and the company placed us in a double queen suite. The layout of the room and the amenities offered were nice. Daily housekeeping is suspended due to Covid, but you can request it as needed. All staff was extremely polite during any encounter we had. We traveled with three kids and our dog. There’s plenty of grass for the pups to roam and do their business. Kids enjoyed the pool. My only complaint is the mattresses were absolutely horrendous. They should at least invest in a decent mattress pad or new mattresses. They caved in the middle and you could feel the springs through it. Five nights in and my back is killing me. For the price of the room, I definitely expected a better sleeping experience. Also, our 2nd or 3rd night there the fire alarm went off and the entire hotel flowed out into the parking lot. That was a fun experience with three sleeping kiddos, but thankful it wasn’t an actual emergency. Plus side, the fire departments response time was decent.
