Amazing hotel in a cave.
Truly exceptional hotel experience, we were upgraded to a cave suite and thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 4 nights. Location is excellent overlooking the city which is only a short walk down the hill. Staff are so nice, they will help you with any inquiry or booking you may need.
Amazing days in Cappadocia
My mother and I had two amazing days in Cappadocia at Esbelli Evi. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, and very peaceful with our own private terrace. Breakfast at the terrace with a view of the valley was simple breathtaking, the hotel Is at walking distance to the quaint town of Urgup and a 5 minute taxi ride to Gerome. We loved everything about Esbelli Evi but what we loved the most was the excellent, caring and kind treatment we received from the staff at Esbelli Evi. Thank you so very much Dilge and Mr. Suha. Hands down the best cave hotel in Cappadocia!
Even better
This was my second visit to Urgup and I decided to stay at Esbelli Evi once again. Mr Suha was most welcoming and accommodated myself and my wife in the honeymoon suite. I must say, this establishment surpassed my expectations the second time around. I would recommend this place to anyone who can manage to stay here. I learnt on this occasion that Esbelli was the first of the boutique cave establishments in Urgup over 30 years ago. (This was further confirmed by people within Urgup who were not known to me. Eg. The antique dealer Veli Baba, who has had his shop for 54 years. ) Nevertheless this once again proves that Mr Suha, being the owner has got his heart in his hotel. And this can easily be experienced when staying here.
Peaceful
I found Esbelli Evi to be a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is close to the town centre but far enough away to have peace and tranquillity.
Wonderful, Unique Hotel, with an owner that cares very much about his property
My wife and two children (11 & 14) spent four nights at this wonderful hotel in August 2019. It is one of the very first cave hotels in Cappadocia. The owner, Suha, has over the past three decades purchased and connected 16 properties together to form a very unique and beautiful hotel. Truth be told, referring to it as a hotel seems like an insult. It is a work of art. If you walk just a block over you can actually see what some of the cave dwellings looked like before homes/apartments were built around them. It is a historical site. Some of the rooms/caves in the hotel are literally over six-hundred years old. Not only are the rooms fun to stay in, the staff and service is outstanding. It is very quiet, clean, and peaceful. I understand that some people may prefer to stay in the center of the action, like in downtown Goreme. If so, then Esbelli Evi is not for you. However, if you are looking for a place to relax after a long day of exploring the area, while at the same time feeling like you are immersed in history, then Esbelli Evi is for you. For us, Esbelli Evi being only 10 minutes away from a majority of the sites and crowds, was perfect. I've been to Cappadocia four times in my life and I've stayed in different hotels each time. I spent a lot of time looking at different hotels before selecting Esbelli Evi. Next time, and there will be a next time, I won't even bother looking around. I will simply call Esbelli Evi. A few notes: 1. If you cannot handle stairs, then should not stay at Esbelli. However, this is going to be true of any of the hotels that are build around the original cave dwellings in the area. 2. Suha has a wonderful breakfast on the terrace that is included. They will even fix an omelette for you. 3. There are two very good restaurants nearby within walking distance. Both with beautiful views. If you want faster food, you need to go a bit further. 4. There are two washers and two dryers available for guest usage. As we were in the middle of a long trip, this was perfect. It also felt very safe to leave our laundry unattended. 5. Bottled water and tea in your room is complimentary. Just this alone for me showed how much Suha has thought about his customers. He isn't trying to nickel and dime you.
