More about the hotel
Definitely one of the best places to stay in Ushuaia
Best thing about this place is the location, right on Avenida San Martín which is the main street in Ushuaia. It's also a couple of blocks from La Anónima supermarket. The breakfast is also really great, with especially delicious "medialunas". Gave it a 4.0 because the hotel is noisy and they start cleaning very early, and because the pillows are not very comfortable. But I would stay here again.
Tour of Argentina and Chile
Stayed here for 1 night when should have been 2 nights on the tour due to Airline strike. Average hotel but nice reception and lobby. Staff very helpful and rooms quite spacious. Handy and near the main centre of Ushuaia.
One of the better stops on our tour
We stayed here in early November as part of Explore's Adventure's in Patagonia tour. The location is good at one end of Ushuaia's long main street and just 200m from the local supermarket. The Hotel was basic, but everything seemed to work. Our room and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good with some cooked options. The only real issue I had was that I was woken at 2am by the night watchmen watching a programme on the computer at the reception desk. Our room on the first floor (room 101!) was the closest to the stairs and reception was right at the bottom of the stairs. i went downstairs to ask him to turn it down. He didn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish. On my second attempt at asking he turned the volume down.
Just about acceptable as hotels go
Room was very small so difficult to find space for our two suitcases as the bed took up most of the space. At the back of the hotel so quiet. Very clean but safe did not work neither did WIFI. No laundry service and as we had been travelling for three weeks would have been helpful. Centrally located which is all it had going for it. Easy to walk out to the supermarket to buy fruit and restaurants and shops abundant. Here to birdwatch in the local national parks and go down the Beagle Sound. Breakfast usual but for a plant based celiac, nothing much on offer and no gluten free bread when I asked for some.
Location is the greater feature
On the main road of the not really big city centre. Breakfast is decent with with not many but enough choices. Reception/concierge falls in one person so if you have any issues, you won't get them solved soon. Internet isn't good and come in a big list of options (same service all of them: bad). I wasn't too happy with the pillows and mattress could improve but isn't too bad. I'm sure there are better choices around. It didn't impressed me in any way. BTW, check out time is earlier than most of the places in the world: 10am. Overall, very basic.
