Quality Inn

After a long day driving it was nice to stay here for one night. The price was right and it was just off the freeway. Quiet enough. Nice lobby although manager was not friendly but efficient. Our room was large with two Queen beds and furnished nicely. Liked that there was a table with two chairs. Refrigerator was good size even though we didn’t use it. We felt the beds were comfortable. Early morning activity was noticeable. Not sure why people can’t close doors softly or speak quietly.... all this before 8 am. The indoor pool and jacuzzi was a plus but didn’t have suits with us. The parking area was large and well lit. Next door was a restaurant, gas station, and car wash. We heard a low sounding hum all night, probably from there, but we slept fine. Would stay again, maybe on north side of building, and recommend. To the staff: SMILE

So disappointed in our stay last night. We arrived near midnight after a long day of driving. The beds were wrinkled and there was dark hair in the bathroom. My husband and I are both blondes. We were kept up most of the night by guests in the adjoining room, who were I assumed were using drugs, because folks that are sober have some consideration for other people trying to sleep. They were nearly shouting, lots of swearing - until they began having incredibly loud sex at 4 am. I don’t know that I will ever forget it. We finally gave up trying to sleep at 5 am and checked out at 6. Our coffee maker didn’t have a coffee pod tray so couldn’t even make coffee when we were fatigued and had 8 hours of driving ahead of us. The worst of this was that when I spoke to the morning manager, he was extremely rude. He practically yelled at me, himself. Said I should have informed his night guy, who must have been 75 years old - not a man who would have been able to safely confront a couple who were under the influence. There was a family with three small children who were nearly running to check out at the same time we were. I’m guessing they had a similar experience. I just hope that those poor kids weren’t the neighbors on the other side of those guests. Had the morning manager/owner or whatever he was been polite and actually gave a damn, my husband and I would have let this go. Good customer service goes a long way in making things better, but clearly he does not know this - or just doesn’t care.

This was our 2nd stay at the property. The first one was decent and that's why we came back. However, I am VERY UNHAPPY this time. I booked with my close friend and her fiance'. We both asked to have adjoined rooms as we did last time. It was important to us and we booked ahead of time so we would have our rooms adjoined. No, did not happen this time. The owner (or manager?) was taking forever to check us in. The guy has ZERO personality and looks like he could not care less about his guests. He was not able to explain why we didn't get adjoined rooms, as we requested. We tried insisting on adjoined rooms, but eventually gave up as the manager's English is relatively poor. In the end, we were given a disability room, which we did not request and did not like. Even more importantly, the hotel is FALSE ADVERTISING the free breakfast. There was nothing available (and we understand the corona issues) but that should have been communicated properly AHEAD OF OUR STAY. That way, I would have brought our own food, oatmeal to go, non-perishable items, etc, so we did not have to go to a restaurant and pay $30+ for breakfast on both days. I heard there was a coffee and muffins from another guest, but I didn't see it. However, I am not a coffee drinker so it would not have mattered to me. We were there as a group of 6 people, in 3 rooms, and we all agree that the hotel should've communicated to all the guests ahead of our stay (or at least during check-in) that there is no breakfast (or that there is only coffee available). We got the worst room possible, downstairs, right next to the back door exit AND the ice machine, so there was noise until late in the evening and then starting at 5 am, people going through and the doors banging loudly. The people above us were thumping around the room since 5:30am on Sunday morning...we could hear water flushing in the room above and next to us. The insulation is non-existent and the walls are paper thin. Oh, yes, we had a king bed but the blanket is thin and only fits a queen size, so we were fighting for the cover (if you are traveling with a family member, snuggling is not an option). The hotel was not fully booked so I don't see why they put us in a room right next to the back door and the ice machine. The fridge in my friend's room was broken so she brought her food to my room. The size of the shampoo and conditioner bottles is ridiculously small, rather tiny. If you have longer hair, you will need two of these, which is just adding to the plastic waste on the planet. The only positive thing of the whole stay is that it is a walking distance to a great restaurant - Timberline. OK, and the beds are comfortable. That's all that was positive about our stay, I think the hotel should have reimbursed us for the breakfast we had to buy on these two days, as this is plain false advertising. This would've helped a bit with otherwise an unpleasant stay. Easy solution would have been to buy McDonalds Egg Sausage sandwiches, one for each guest. With the morning special "2 for $4" it would not have cost them much at all, and it would have solved the problem. Also, you need to hire a pleasant, engaging, and hospitable front desk person, who will be welcoming and will inform us about everything we need to know during our check-in. We are definitely NOT coming back.

I've stayed at this location twice before. The guy at the front desk has been the same guy every time I've stayed. The last two times he was alright, not happy sounding but still said please and possibly even thank you. My second stay I went to the front desk at 5am and asked for a razor(since the sign in the room stated they had some things if we forgot them from home), I'm sure he was sleeping still or something cause he seemed pretty irritated that I rang the bell to ask for something. Anyway, tonight he was very ownry and the phone kept ringing while I was checking in, he finally picked it up, put it on speaker and didn't say anything until a man came on with a "hello?", The guy front desk man then said with anger in his voice to "hold on!" The man on the line hung up about 30 seconds later. He then handed me a paper to sign as he got another call and all he said was "upstairs" to me. I got to my room and was using disinfectant on things since the whole covid thing is going on and instantly saw a mouse run from behind the tv and through a tiny hole under the door. I went down to to ask for a refund cause I obviously didn't want to sleep with mice and there was a lady there complaining to him that she specifically asked for a pet room 3 times when she called to make reservations and he kept almost arguing with her, telling her she was wrong. When I got up to the desk he said "what do you want?" And after I told him what I saw, he became a lot nicer to myself and this woman wanting a pet friendly room. I ended up having to call hotels.com to get a refund since I booked through them. I think he needs to hire someone part time or take a vacation cause he seems like he needs a break or learn how to be polite

I would give 0 stars if that was possible. When we checked in, the first thing we noticed in our room was an empty plastic drink glass with a straw in it on the window sill. We were surprised to see something so obvious overlooked by the cleaning team. We placed it in the trash. The next morning as I was doing exercises on the floor, I saw broken tortilla chips and popcorn on the floor alongside one of the beds. It is pretty gross to find someone else’s food in your hotel room, which is supposed to be thoroughly cleaned before you arrive. And, in this time of covid, it made us very worried whether cleaning procedures to prevent the spread were being followed. Another example: the person at the desk was never wearing a mask when we interacted with him. My partner also noticed that the wrappers for the soap bars by the bathtub and sink were open: as if they had been used and then put back in the wrapper. Before leaving for the day, we reported the food on the floor to the person at the front desk (who we assume is the manager or owner since he was at the desk each time we went there). He was polite and assured us that the room would be cleaned while we were gone for the day. When we came back, we knew the cleaner had been in the room because the trash cans were emptied. But when we looked at the edge of the bed the food was still there. I went to report this to the manager. The woman who does the cleaning was sitting next to him and he asked her to go check. So she came back to the room with me, but she did not have a mask on. So I asked her to put one on before coming in. She did not have one with her and went back to the cleaning supply room to get one. When she looked at the food on the floor, she exclaimed something like: “I worked so hard to get this clean. You don’t know how hard it is to clean.” I said, “Yes I do. I have a house and I vacuum it.” She gave me an angry look and left the room, slamming the door. I went back to the front desk and told the man there that if they were not going to clean the room we wanted our money back. He said something like: “Even if it was clean you wouldn’t be happy. You are the kind of person who finds something wrong with everything.” I said, “You don’t know anything about me.” He said, “Yes you are. I can tell by looking at you.” He was very red in the face and angry. He said that we had been there the night before we checked in and blamed us for making the mess. He said that if we wanted our money back we would have to leave. I went back to the room to ask my partner. We decided not to leave because it was already dark and late. I have never checked in to a room in a hotel/motel that had a previous occupant’s food on the floor. I have never been treated like that by hotel/motel staff. They are supposed to be providing a service and attempting to keep their customers happy – not insulting them. This man and woman should not be in the hospitality business. They are going to tarnish the reputation of the hotel chain.
