We have stayed here many times while traveling from Florida to Atlanta and we’re surprised during our most recent stay how dirty and deteriorated this place has become. We took a few pictures that depicted what we experienced. Needless to stay we will find another place to stay next trip through.

The room was very clean, enough towels for the stay, & breakfast was post Covid. The hotel was not located near a good restaurant. We had to travel 9 miles to get to chick fil a. Also, the front desk gave up an extra 30 minutes for late check out. :)

Avoid the Valdosta Hampton Inn

Valdosta Hampton has instituted a policy of charging $50 if you arrive prior to 3pm and want to check in. In our case we were 20 minutes early and waited. Another couple said they had waited since 1/30pm.

In need of renovation

We chose the Hampton Inn due to location for our travels. This hotel is sorely in need of renovations. Wallpaper coming off the walls in the halls and in our room. The furniture in the lobby/breakfast area was so worn it looked filthy. Our room was relatively clean, except for the ac/furnace cover. thick with dust/dirt. The first room they assigned to us smelled like smoke. Had to request a new room.

Uneventful Quality Stay

The overall quality of this stay was very good and uneventful. I was nice to see the breakfast return to see post-COVID sanity. Food quality was good (in fact considerably better than the Hyatt Place I had 2 day stay recently). The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. he bed was comfortable, but the pillows are not the variety they once were. Regardless, I did not see this as a detriment during this stay.
