We enjoyed the location for skiing. Steps from the door to the main chair lift to take you up the mountain. Our unit was clean and well furnished. The parking was a short walk but they would drop you off and pick you up if requested.
Excellent Customer Service

When our trip had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 Mitch with Snakedance authorized a full refund even though the trip was non-refundable. We had booked through VRBO and they were not working with us on the refund at all. Mitch called and emailed VRBO on our behalf more than once and emailed and called us multiple times to let us know what he was able to find out. He did not even have to authorize the refund much less spend his time helping us deal with VRBO and Expedia Group. I can't say enough about how much of a blessing he is and how much he helped us! There are still good people in this world!!!
Great mountain location, but lacking amenities

I recently stayed here for the first time during my ski club's group trip in February 2020. The two bedroom, 2 bathroom condo was clean and had a decent kitchen. The best thing about this property is the location and the "Bumps" market on the first floor. The most aggravating thing about my stay was the very uncomfortable bedding with an old mattress and old, hard pillows. This mountain prides itself on their ski school, which is very good, but how can you ski your best while sleeping on some old uncomfortable bed every night? The chairs at the bar-pennisula were very uncomfortable in my unit so there was not comfortable dining, since there was no dining table. Both bedrooms have tiny televisions with Direct TV and no local channels. The tv's are too small for the bedrooms and most of us were squinting just to read the channel guide, etc. The small, dingy hot tub room was not good. I pulled a muscle on my first day and was so disappointed to get into this small hot tub with a rusted and bent handle/railing used to get into the pool. The pool also had weak jets so it basically just felt like you're sitting in a bathtub. The hot tub is also inside of one of the locker rooms used to store people's skis so it is behind a closed door and surrounded by really old tile. I would recommend walking across the road to use the facilities at another neighboring condo. This place needs upgrades and renovations, but the staff is quite nice!
Great location, but rooms are drab, dreary, tired and unwelcoming

We had a two bedroom condo for 1 week. The couch was so old that you sank through the broken springs. We had to use the throw pillows from all the beds to make it usable. The living room chairs were dirty. And, all the furniture looked to be about 20+ years old. The beds had no headboards, and mattresses were very old. No decorations on the walls... and the carpet was threadbare. There was nothing that would make you feel welcome in that sad condo. I couldn't wait to leave. Our neighbor, who also complained about their room had blankets covering all their furniture, because they were so worn and dirty. We love the location but staying here was absolutely abysmal. We will never stay here again.
Authentic and comfortable

A great place for groups or families to stay while skiing at Taos. The condos are large and well-maintained. There is a nice lobby, Hondo restaurant, ski storage, and Bumps market and foods to go. Easy access to the slopes, just steps away.
