Super Friendly, Pool is a big plus

Reviewed 4 december, 2021

The most stand-out aspect of this hotel is the kindness of the staff. I was treated like my satisfaction was valued the entire stay. There was an unfortunate event of a power outage, which the staff was quick to remedy as best they could giving out flashlights, water, and extra blankets. The Good: The saltwater pool and hot tub. The large bathroom was great. There were drawers for clothing! It was quiet. There was a freezer compartment in the mini-fridge. The Not-so-Good: The mattress slouched on the side of the bed I was sleeping on. The channel printed list had errors. No pad of paper in the room. 4 small waters per day promised and not delivered. Parking was a hassle but doable. Room stank of cleaning products when I arrived. Dissipated by opening of windows. Should lessen the strength. The Bad: The restaurant food. First night there, ordered room service. The Ahi Tuna salad was tasteless and wilting. The order taker didn't understand my questions about ingredients in the dressing, so I had to send it back. They did replace it with a salmon dish which was just OK. I asked what kind of salmon it was and could not understand the answer so I got it anyway, and it was the dry kind (sockeye). All in all, I'd stay there again, but the downtown location was kind of boring for my taste--though close to the Vancouver Art Gallery. Next time I'd rather stay in more of a residential neighborhood. But that pool is a definite draw. It's open until 10pm.

All Good - great location

Reviewed 4 december, 2021

I had no concerns at all about COVID cleaning & protocols. Good central location if you like to walk. IGA right around the corner. Staff are very quick to respond, extremely polite and professional at all times. Thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable!

Love L'Hermitage

L'Hermitage is a really wonderful hotel! We visited in late November and their outdoor pool was heated to perfection. It was so nice to take a dip outside. They also have an outdoor hot tub. Their rooms are beautiful and spacious and nicely outfitted. The rooms are very clean. The staff are really warm and welcoming. Parking was close and you could enter from the basement and take the elevator to your room. Great location. Low cost parking, at only $25 is really good for Vancouver. I would highly recommend this hotel and we'll definitely be back.

Fabulous getaway with the perfect location!

Absolutely fabulous hotel. From the Check in to check out we had a fabulous stay. Awesome location, beautiful room with a fire place, gorgeous bathroom with separate tub, rain shower and toilet. Everything super clean. We used the hot tub, pool and gym. Parking was easy and a great price. I went with my girlfriend and we will definitely go again. So much fun. Perfect location for shopping downtown. The stay felt like we had a 3 night get away when it was only one night. I highly recommend.

Fantastic staff & room but the food was awful

Reviewed 30 november, 2021

The room accommodations were sublime. The staff were universally polite and consciencious. All COVID protocols were followed and made me feel safe. Everything about my 2-night stay was perfect... except for the food in the restaurant. I only ate breakfast the first morning: $8 for a "pot" of coffee that yielded 2 cups; $8 for a small glass of freshly squeezed orange juice; $14 for significantly under-cooked eggs benedict. If you stay here, you will definitely enjoy it - just make sure to avail yourself of the many fine restaurants outside of the hotel.
