Rooms not bad, comfy bed.if yoy want your bed made ,do it yourself.food is disgusting .everything cold.all staff miserable.no one speaks.like an old folks home.can't wait to go home.never again.not a lot to do .beach is nice .lot,s of little shops .not as cheap as i thought it would be for food.breakfast is about 13 to 14 lev.tea coffee 3 lev.cigs cheap.65 lev for 200 b n h.
HOTEL WITH EXCELLENT LOCATION, OUTDOOR AND INDOOR BIG POOLS, MULTI-FUNCTIONAL MEDICAL CENTER BUT ALSO WITH SOME WEAKNES
I stayed with my wife in this hotel, during a 10 nights holiday (room 202 at 2nd floor), being provided with only breakfasts and dinners by its restaurant. STRENGTHS -General; excellent location (central, close to beach), big own parking, big and well maintained outdoor pool (35n x 50m, 1,70m deep), multi-functional and well maintained fitness/ medical center (with SPA and big indoor pool), own (outdoor and indoor) bars, own brewery (with DJ, outdoor), indoor market/ shop, own money exchange office, free and good Wi-Fi connection (in our room at least), large lounges with air conditionners, low prices -Room: good phonic insulation, good beds, useful and clean balcony, nice view to the sunset, outdoor pool and hotel trees -Restaurant: very good french-fries and yoghurt (available every day!), large and clean rooms and tables, quick clearing of tables, -Staff: available, polite, efficient, multilingual (bulgarian, russian, english, german) and professional, all providing customer-oriented services WEAKNESSES -General: Hotel’s yard deserve and need much better paving, maintenance and lighting. Information about services provided by fitness/ SPA center and their prices is very succint and deficient, lack of maps and posters showing Golden Sands routes, hotels and restaurants. The Wi-Fi free acces should be guaranteed for all hotel rooms, not only at lounge.. -Room: During our 10 nights i this hotel, our room was NEVER cleaned and our linen was NEVER changed. We had to ask DAILY to cleaning personnel (which does not understand foreign languages) to empty garbage baskets, to change towels, to provide new toilet paper! The bath-WC small room (inside our room) provided always an owfull smell, because its ventillator was fully uneffective… -Restaurant: unefficient/ counter-productive management of kitchen and provided food (its selection, offer, disposal and presentation) generating frequent „socialist” waiting lines for everything, limited choice of foods, bad or lacking communication of food designations, etc.; unefficient and few coffee distributors, low quality provided water, „juices”, sweets, ice cream and bread; unavailability of alcoholic beverages (beer and wines) and good fruit juices for non-„all included” customers, even if they were interested to pay for them. -Staff: luggage storing room is very small, dirty and unsafe ; luggage trafic can not be controlled by the hotel staff

The staff was not professional at all! Especially the receptionist:SIMONA,who was rude and ignorant at checking not being helpful or costumer oriented. Her attitude was absolutely out of order! The worst hotel staff I’ve seen in my life ! We arrived early to the hotel, after 9 hour drive, and we’ve been told that we could get our rooms earlier as we were there. At 11 o’clock I went to reception, to ask maybe how long they think, or can we hope for an earlier check in. The answer what you would expect in a decent hotel would be : just a second, I check with the housekeeper, or not just yet but we do our best to get you in the rooms as soon as possible. No ! Her answer was and ignorant :IMPOSSIBLE, because everyone is checking out at 12 ! Just saying that we seen people checking out since 9 o’clock!!! So she just wasn’t interested in helping us. Then I asked if it’s possible to use the hotel pool while we waiting,she laughed in my face and said no! So we had had to wait 7 hours in the lobby, watching people checking out and even checking IN, absolutely nakered !!! Working in the same industry I know what to except and what should be the staff attitude. The housekeeping was an absolute joke, we haven’t had our room serviced not even once in 5 days, we had to bag 3 days for dress towels , and the only reason we got it at the end was , that we kicked off about it at reception. We had to put our bin in front of the door to be changed after 3 days , when I dared to ask for a toilet paper, I got a funny look. Yeah, it’s understandable that a 3 star hotel , what you paid for you can’t expect fresh towels or toilet paper or any service at all! I was disgusting!!! The buffet was tiny and no variety at all! I left the restaurant hungry pretty much every day!!! The restaurant staff was always grumpy, doesn’t matter how nice I asked for a drink at the bar or anything in the restaurant, in 5 days I didn’t get not even one smile , or a welcoming look. Not to me, not to anyone else! They looked annoyed and bored, which could make u feel uncomfortable! I’ve been in a lot of hotels in my life . For holidays, city brakes, or even working in a few in the last 5 years! I’ve never complained in any of them , not even one word, as I know the industry , and I’m understanding, but this hotel was and absolute garbage!!! A joke!! I left the hotel disgusted and I will never go back again! I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you wish your holiday to get ruined by unpleasant staff, far below standard service,or you wish to eat tasteless, dog food during your stay! Everything about that hotel was and unbelievable disgrace!!!!!!!!
fantastic bar
this bar is great. always made to feel welcome staff are lovely attentive and very hard working. They also speak English as well as other languages, which is great because Golden Sands is predominately caters for Germans and other eastern Europeans. Food and drinks are ace they even went and got pink gin for my daughter as they didnt originally sell it and bar is very reasonably priced. we have been coming to Golden sands for the last 4 years and this is by far our favourite bar, There is entertainment on every night and they also show all the football matches as well, so something for everyone. Great work guys and hope to see you again next year Paul & Izzy

Fantastic food great beer and good entertainment although a german bar everyone is made to feel very wellcome freindlyvstaff and great service along with great food make this a great place to visit sports fans can watch big screens and very good entertainment with singers and groups fantastic place for all nationalities i love it
