Option for transit accommodation
The hotel is well located, you do not have to climb a mountain, the entrance is easy to find, having your own yard makes its territory cozy. Free private parking is possible on site. Good restaurant. Wyfy is free, but somehow it worked unclear. If you stay in the apartment - there is installed a boiler, which the guests should turn on themselves (or only we forgot to warn and help turn it on, but we managed, of course). Clean bed linen. Some furniture and kitchen utensils require urgent replacement - this is impossible to use.
Cancellation
Used booking.com for this and other reservations in Switzerland and Italy and other hotels did not cancel due to overbooking.Confirmation said reservation had been confirmed and guaranteed but morning of reservation email received saying our booking cancelled due to overbooking. Alternative also booked so a stressful time calling booking.com while driving to arrange accommodation which was up a steep hill whereas our choice was beside the lake. No apology from hotel as if they had probably wouldn't be leaving this review.
First class restaurant in lovely location.
Had a meal at the Hotel Restaurant on a local Italian friend recommendation. Glad I did because the local fish was cooked to perfection and was well accompanied by wines of above average quality. For starters we had a selection of Salmerino ( a local type of trout) cooked in various ways, smoked salmon with burrata and smoked trout. As main we had a dish of Perch and gnocchi with truffles. All in all a delicious mix of traditional and modern flavors which the Chef /owner was happy to advise and talk to us about. We didn't have any meat based dish unfortunately as we were too full from the generous starters. I will definitely go there again on my next visit to Lake Garda especially as the price of the meal was very fair considering its quality.
OK but maybe not worth the money?
Location is ok and the Hotel is pretty cosy. The shower was extremely small and even thought there was AC it did not work. Parking is another problem because the parking plaze is very small and also the people who came just to the restaurant use the same parking lot. If you come later in the night the parking Place is full. Maybe the should reserve places for every visitor who has has cars and these places would be only for hotelvisitors. After all the staff was verey helpful into organizating the parking lot so that you could put your car there. The wifi was pretty slow.
Excellent value for money in a great location.
A fantastic location just 10 minutes bus ride from the centre of Malescine. We opted for the half board option and included a god breakfast and excellent three course evening meal. We had a large balcony overlooking the shortest river. Excellent value for money.
