Nice experience
Lovely hotel. Very comfortable. 2 minute walk to the centre. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable regarding places to visit. Breakfast was really good. We would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
Lovely Hotel, great location, cosy bar area but beware of the nightclub at weekends!
We stayed at Hotel Europa from Saturday to Saturday last week. Overall, we had a lovely week, the hotel was cosy, the breakfasts were excellent, the food in the hotel restaurant was tasty and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms could do with modernisation, but they were functional and clean. There is no gym/sauna which is a shame, but we were told there are plans to install them at the end of this season. During the week, we almost felt like we had the place to ourselves, there is a great seating area with an open fire where we were left to chat and play cards late into the evening. There is an honesty/free (?) bar here which is a nice touch as well. The breakfasts in the morning are delicious with a juicer, selection of pastries and plenty of cold hams and cheeses. Perfect for filling up before you hit the slopes. But, we had not realised that on Friday and Saturday evenings the hotel transforms into a very well-known nightclub. On the Saturday night of our stay, the hotel closed at about 9pm and the club began. During the night, in our room on the third floor, we could hear the music until early in the morning (3.30am) but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't sleep. We had friends on the second floor who weren't so lucky and were kept awake most of the night. On the Friday of our stay, we decided to eat dinner in the VIP club to see what it was like. I would not recommend doing this. The food is not as good as the main hotel restaurant and was vastly overpriced. We were sat in a section of the club which was devoid of atmosphere (along with other hotel guests we noticed) while the 'locals' were all given prime tables in the cosy, main section of the club. This was a shame, it felt that the hotel guests were forgotten about despite the fact that they are inconvenienced by the fact that the hotel pretty much closes down to accommodate the nightclub. Overall I would recommend the Hotel Europa but I would strongly suggest getting a room on the top floors, away from the nightclub to ensure that you won't be disturbed during the night.
Very nice hotel, good location, one word of advice
Friendly, helpful, professional staff welcome you to this hotel and do all they can to make your stay comfortable. We loved our room, which faced towards the west onto the dramatic mountains of the Tofane. Our room, a smaller suite, was very spacious, good value, comfortable, with a nice little balcony. The breakfast was tasty and varied. The hotel has got a very nice ski-chalet vibe going with its decor and facilities. It is a short walk about 100 meters, to the pedestrianized center of town.
Comfortable
On one of the main roads in Cortina, Nice old fashioned hotel, room was good and plenty big enough. Ate in restaurant one night and it was excellent. Breakfast good, parking available. Seems to cater for parties at weekends so one night was very noisy with young people being noisy into the early hours.
Nice location but a lot of street noise
We spent 9 nights here on a hiking vacation. Rooms comfortable and clean but the room was very hot everyday, since no air con had to open doors at all time but lots of road noise in front of hotel. Lots of cozy seating areas off lobby for groups to meet. A 10 minute walk to downtown shopping/restaurant area. Cold breakfast buffet was good but very crowded on weekends and had to wait for a seat. Our friends were in a room in the back of the hotel and it was much quieter. Good built in closet space, an extra couch/bed in room, hairdryer and safe. No self service laundry as advertised on hotels.com, internet poor in rooms. We’d recommend this hotel if you can have a room in the back of the hotel and don’t need to depend on internet otherwise a hotel off this main road would be much quieter and pleasant
