More about the hotel
I guess it is ok for one night stay
For 1 night we booked a Superior Double Room with a view in Hotel Ambasciatori, when we arrived we saw on the door of the entry to the hotel to go to the Hotel Delfino next door. We came there and we got our room, but there was no view and I did not have a feeling that this was a superior room. We had breakfast included in our room, but a while after making our reservation (which was a day before arrival), we were informed that because of COVID-19 there is no breakfast, rather they have "breakfast boxes" delivered to the room. We were not aware of that before reserving or we would have just booked a cheaper room without breakfast. When arriving to our room, there was the following food prepared on the table (per person): 1 jam, 1 honey, 2 dcl juice, 0,5l bottle of water, 2 dcl milk, 1 muffin, crackers, 1 small box of cornflakes. There was also coffee machine with coffee capsules and sugar+cream. What I missed was some bread, as we did not know whether to put jam/honey on the crackers or eat it with the cornflakes. Also Wi-Fi did not work properly for us and there were some chunks of dust on the floor when I moved the curtain. The bed was ok. They charge 15€ for parking in the garage below the hotel. The bus that takes you to Venice is just across the street. I guess this is an ok choice if you stay for just overnight before moving on to another destination.
Lovely stay
I found this hotel to be of a great standard, very clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel bar was a highlight, especially the bartender Leonardo ⭐️ I would definitely recommend staying here if you intend to visit Venice. It is in a nice neighbourhood just a bus journey away from Venice itself and is very easy to navigate.
Zero courtesy, only money making hotel
The staff here is very arrogant, have no courtesy and for every single thing they want euros. Even for a kettle in the room which is a basic of any standard hotel they asked for 5 euros. They have even charged city tax for my son which noone in Italy has charged in my entire trip in Italy. For adults the average city tax is 2 euros but they have charged 3.10 euros... Horrible experience.. The staff is rude and probably has forgotten that they are in hospitality business where they have to be courteous.
Close to Venice
We stayed at this hotel only one night, it has a bus stop right out the front to get to Venice centre area in about 15 minutes. The hotel was a bit dated but was comfortable enough. The breakfast and dining room was large with a good selection of foods. The lift was very slow and the hotel is well known for taking large group bookings of travellers so it can get very busy.
Good Hotel
We booked Ambasciatori hotel for two nights while we were in venice, the checkin process was smooth. The hotel i good in terms of cleanliness, room size, bathrooms , TV and wifi. The breakfast was good, however the restaurant has little vegetarian options. You can tourist pass for local conveyance at reception, bus stand is just infront of the hotel so very easy to commute to Venice city. Supermarket and Cafe's nearby. A very good Indian restaurant nearby the hotel named karmasutra .
