Hotel Capri

Paid a hefty price to upgrade to a lake view room. On arrival I was told I was getting an “upgrade” well this upgrade was a total down grade , to the annex building on the ground floor over looking a hedge and road noise was terrible!! ( not the lake view room in the main building that I had paid extra for ) I asked to be moved to the main building, to a room that I had booked!! Which they did, and I was quite happy. The staff however did not like the fact I challenged them, bearing in mind I only wanted the room type i had booked!! They also sat us outside the main sitting area for dinner to try and “punish” us so to speak and make us feel uncomfortable at every meal. We all know in italy if you pay for expensive lake view rooms ect , you get a lovely table for dinner. They did this for the whole duration of our holiday. Having been in lots of holidays to Italy throughout the years, this is the worst hotel I have been at, with regards to management!! The way they treated us was appalling, yes they are very nice on the surface, but if you have a problem, they don’t like it and don’t deal with it in a professional way. Making them totally false. People work hard all year to come on holiday, you should treat every guest with respect, or you shouldn’t be running a business!!! It is after all your guests that keep you in business,. You really should be ashamed with yourself, especially when this was booked for a special birthday, and the fact my husband was recovering from a bad illness... you made us feel uncomfortable, upset us, and spoiled our holiday SHAME ON YOU!! You know what they say in this life though..... what goes around.... karma!!

The hotel appears to be two separate buildings connected to make one hotel. The views of Lake Garda, from our hotel room balcony, was stunning. The front desk personnel spoke English but their second language of German was much better. It was about a 15-20 minute walk into the old town to eat, shop, and site see. The pool and lounge chair area was very relaxing and again a beautiful view of Lake Garda and the mountains.

From the moment we arrived till the last brunch, enjoying glass of prosecco overlooking the mountains of Garda Lake, this place really gives you the "home away from home" feeling. Beside the wide choice of food at breakfast (also cooked to order breakfast), the spotless and beautifully decorated rooms (we had an exceptional views from our junior suite), the LOCATION and facilities - it's the "stuff" who makes the difference and is the reason why we will be back soon. Emiel, Enrica, Michaela and Jacobo are only a few names which deserve to be thanked to as they are there greeting you with a smile the whole day long and ready to make your stay an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to be back again.

We stayed 4 nights at this great hotel. A very friendly host. Perfect breakfast the Italien style. The view over the lake is something special. My only complain is that the wifi do not work all the time. For sure we will come back

Fabulous find...great food and views from restaurant. Staff wonderful. Excellent choice at breakfast. Rooms adequate for a 3star plus hotel. A bit of walk to the centre of Malcesne but well worth the stay. Would recommend it.
