Wonderful View from a Splendid Hilltop Location!
We have just returned from a 9 day stay here. The hotel has commanding views of the lake and is surrounded with a splendid variety of trees and other vegetation, the staff were fabulous, from the owners and their daughter to the room cleaners, they all made our stay very special. I went out on the balcony early one morning and was pleasantly surprised to see a squirrel in the tree on the edge of our balcony. Each night we would park up from a days' outing on and around the lake, and would enjoy watching the sun go down while cooling down at one of the tables around the front of the hotel, while enjoying an Espresso and Aperol Spritzer :) whether you are a couple or a family like us (our son is 9) you will enjoy the quiet splendour of Castello S. We had a great time!
We had a great time there. We stayed for one night. The breakfast was very good, nice rooms, fair price, very clean and very friendly staff. We got to the hotel by chance, and we are very happy so have seen the hotel's sign from downhill.
Great Hotel, great service
What a great italian hotel! Very nice staff, friendly owners, great view, very high level of service, High value of money... The hotel is situated near Lago di Garda and close to Lazise. A nice place for both famiies and couples. I can only give my highest recommandations to this hotel.
first 2* in a long time
Actually, I can't remember when I stayed the last time in a 2* hotel. It must have been during my student time. But a friend asked me to go down to the largo di garda for a long weekend in august. He picked this place and it was the perfect choice for this kind of holiday, where you need a basic room (clean twin beds, small but very clean and newly renovated bathroom) a filling breakfast. The hotel is a five minutes drive away from the lake but the rooms (in the main building) have all a great great view of the lake (might even be something for the romantic couple, as you can watch the sunset with a nice bottle of bardolino). The folks staying there was a mixture from young to old, friends to families. The staff was very friendly and helpful. So to sum it up, a great place if you go for basic, comfortable chic and you are not looking for a place to hang out during the day.
Anche per una vacanza invernale
Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel poco prima di Natale durante una breve vacanza sul Garda. Il castello si trova sulle colline sopra Lazise, raggiungibile in auto in pochi minuti. La camera, ampia e confortevole, era nella dependance e aveva una bella vista sul paese e sul lago. Il titolare ci ha accolto molto cordialmente dandoci tutte le principali informazioni e rendendosi disponibile per qualunque necessità. Non potendo servire la cena, ci ha indicato una pizzeria che consegna a domicilio e che serve anche piatti da ristorante. La tranquillità ed il silenzio circondano il posto per un magnifico relax.
