We stayed here for a two night stay while on our honeymoon. It is right next to st marks square - I could see it from our window! The lobby area is nice and the staff took great care of us during our stay. Breakfast is complimentary and the seating areas have a great view of the canal and gondolas. Overall perfect location, especially for a short visit. We chose to take the water taxi to the airport and it was only about a five minute walk from the hotel to the water taxi stop. You can also have a private water taxi pick you up or drop you off directly at the hotel canal entrance if you want to spend the extra money for the convenience. The bed was not super comfortable but other than that it was perfect! Thank you for a wonderful stay in Venezia!

Best Location, and View to the gondolas.

We love the location of Cavalletto & Doge Orsole, the view to the gondolas from our window were fantastic. The hotel provide a nice breakfast buffet. Walk to St. Mark's Square. Restaurants and retail stores across the hotel.

Owners and staff went above and beyond fantastic view of the lake couldn’t ask for a better place would highly recommend If available the terrace rooms are the best in the Hotel You’ll be lucky if you can visit soon Plenty of good restaurants in town for both lunch and dinner went to visit the gardens they were great too

Hotel Cavalletto was wonderful! The location cannot be beat--right off of St. Marco's (Mark's) Square. Such a bustling litte area but the canal street the hotel is down is quiet and quaint! You can sit on their public balconies on the first floor, right over a canal with many gondolas and people traffic to watch. It's so cute! The staff (especially Nicolo at the front desk!) were friendly, professional, and very accomodating. The hotel felt safe and secure during our whole stay. The hotel and public areas were VERY clean and comfortable. The FREE breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL--they have hot items they will offer to serve you and/or you can choose from an array of local breads, cookies, spreads, cheeses, meats, fruits, yogurt, coffee, juices, etc. Also, super great outside bistro and bar (Bar Olimpia Sprint) with lots of tables...right down the hotel street and into a quaint little piazza. Definitely go there for lunch or evening for good food, drinks, and service by "Sad" or Sadik--he was so great! There are other cute restaurants, shops, and 2 great gelaterias very close. Best price for booking was found right on the hotel's website. We will definitely stay here again!

This is our 4th visit to Venice and decided to stay near Mark Square as it is central to everything on the grand canal. Very nice hotel lovely staff from reception to riom service and breakfast staff, nice room and very Italian style, cleaned daily with new towels & toiletries. I would recommend anyone visiting venice to stay at this hotel. Mr William Richards.
